Sarah's Song To Be Released As A Single!

According to an article about ST in the New York Times it appears that Sarah's song "Teen Horniness Is Not A Crime" is to be released as a single!

“Southland Tales” simulates the oversaturation of the 21st-century mediascape and delights in, even as it mocks, the vulgar absurdities of celebrity culture. Ms. Gellar’s character, for example, is a multitasking, politically minded sex-film star — “Jenna Jameson meets Arianna Huffington,” Mr. Kelly said — with a “View”-like talk show and a hit song called “Teen Horniness Is Not a Crime” (co-written by Mr. Kelly and to be released as a single)."

The article is quite involved and has a lot of interesting facts. It sounds like none of Sarah's scenes were deleted when they chopped 19 minutes out for the final version.

As for the stuff that was cut, they say it's Genene Garlofalo's characters story that's been cut.

Just as long as every single second of Sarah has been preserved, they can cut anything they want.

I wonder if this will be played on MTV? They could use the scene out of the movie like a music vid.

MTV, MTV2, & VH1 still play music. Usually only at certain times during the day.

OhioFan, thanks for the info. I knew that she had a single released but I didn't know the title. And I didn't know specific details about her character, such as the fact that she was politcally minded.

I hope I can get the money to buy the single. ;)

Bad news from SMGFAN (Sorry, Jonny!): It looks like "Teen Horniness Is Not A Crime" will not be released as a single (regardless of what the NY Times said). It's going to be used as the carrier song to promote the soundtrack. The good news is that there's a music vid and it's going to be released soon!
