I know it's not really to do with Sarah, but I thought there could be somewhere to talk about the Season 8 graphic novels. So how about here?

Well how about at the begining? I've now read all 4 parts to ''The Long Way Home'' I really enjoyed them. Great to see what's happened to the gang after the destruction of Sunydale. I also thought there were a few great twists too, like what happens on the final page of parts one and three.

Do you think we should put a spoiler warning up here? Just incase people haven't read them yet?

Good idea. I haven't read those, yet liked to know how the story evolved.

Well Casey you should get them. Here's a quick if a little expensive (I think) way of catching up. It's the first five issues in one issue. That's The Long Way Home parts 1-4 and The Chain, which is a seperate story before No Future For You (parts 1-4) which concentrate on Faith. Here's a link for you to hopefully get you back on track... Comic link

As for what's happened I've really enjoyed it so far.

I thought that bringing back Amy and Warren (yeah him that was a surprise!) was a great start to the Season. I wonder what's happened to Kennedy? Will we see her any time soon? Though I thought it was funny the way Willow said she was 'dead' and then went no not like that! I also really like the artwork for the stories, that's really nice, but the cover work for the issues are really good. Jo Chen's work is amazing.

I thought the oddest thing was having Dawn as a giant. I wonder if we'll get to see this this guy who made her a giant. As for the humour, I'm glad that's still there as well. Oh do you think Xander's fancying one of the girls who help him out?

Though the main thing is the introduction of the Big Bad. That being The Twilight. I wonder who's really incontrol of them? Buffy, the Scoobies, and the Slayers can't be fighting the human race. I'm sure there's something more sinister at work. I wonder if Ethan Rayne knew more than he was letting on? Before his demise?

Some really good points there, Andy. I'll get into this as soon as I finish up my latest stint of back to back 12 hour shifts. Funny, but we used to say "Anywhere But Here" all the time in the military. Usually when we were someplace far from the U.S. of A.

Could be. What was the name of that game that Buffy, Willow and Xander used to play where they imagined themselves in some exotic location with some movie star? I remember Xander always wanted to be at the Water Park with Amy Yipp (I think).

I really have no idea who the other person is on the second cover. Maybe someone who's helping out the gang? But I thought Willow was diving in the first pic, but she's not... That's something that she rarely did in the show. She floated I guess...

I was never a fan of Amy or Warren. He's one nerd I wish they had left really dead. At least we can hope he get's his once more and Willow changes Amy back into a rat!

It was never really made perfectly clear who kissed Buffy and brought her out of the sleep spell. I know they made reference to that other Slayer having cinamon lip gloss, but there was never any real definitive statement about that. Maybe Xan Man was having a cinamon bun for breakfast that day?

If Buffy ever meets the thricewise that made Dawn a giant I think she will whittle him into a dwarf!

They blasted the Big Bad Military Industrial Complex using their own technology to destroy them. With all the new slayers all over the place I don't think they will be able to conceal the evil that exists either. Perhaps the world will finally realize just how much it owes Buffy and her army. Doubt that will really happen.

As for Ethan Rayne - I've said it before - If they're involved with the Magics - No one is really dead in the Buffyverse.

It looks like Willow has learned to fly from that one cover. Isn't that how she got into the castle the first time we saw her? It would make getting around a lot easier, but it didn't look like Buffy was too thrilled with the idea!

Cool! Great points there Pat. I can see where you're comming from on that. Spoiler: Isn't the military under the influence of the Twilight? I'm wondering as the General who confronts Buffy at the end of TLWH part 4 had it on his chest. As for the other thing you were saying (spolier) Wasn't it the slayer who fought with Buffy to get Willow back in TLWH part 4 the one who kissed her? As Buffy takes her lip balm. Also great point about Ethan Rayne as well. Oh also got NFFY part 2 recently. I must read it.

You're right about the military aspect, but they just had a major setback due to an old fashioned mirror, and may take some time to regroup. They were definitely linked to that group of rather large green demons and I think they are the controlling force in that matter. They dropped a few hints that it could be that other Slayer who kissed Buffy, but nothing is definitively said to verify that. Joss is letting us make up our own minds again. When you read the chapter about the decoy Slayer let me know what you think of that.

Well I thought that stand alone one was quite good. It was the first I read of the series, and didn't like it. Then I went back and saw it from a different angle. It does explain about the Chain of Slayers and how she came about being Buffy. Sadly she didn't survive, but I guess she did her duty in holding up the demons so the rest of the Slayers could group and go into kill them. It also makes you wonder about the Immortal that's been mention in the series and by Andrew in Angel. I wonder if The Immortal's got anything to with this Twiglight as well? Lastly what I got off 'The Chain' was how lonely a Slayers job is. And no thanks you get too.
