HNA has crept up to over 22 mil. Combined with TMNT that's over 104 mil for the two animated features! Not too bad!

Sony has acquired the rights to distribute some films from Inferno. ST is among them. Inferno is the same outfit behind TAIB. Here's the article:

The last thing I read at Richard Kelly's blog sounds like ST is getting a lot of special effects added this summer. Sounds like it might not be released until March of 2008. Nothing official. Not good if you're waiting to see Krysta!

Thanks for the info Pat. It doesn't bode well for the film if the release date is being moved back again. Wasn't it supposed to be out this year? The rough cut was shown at last years' Cannes, and then nothing.

You're right about ST, Andy. One of the things it was panned at Cannes was for being too long. I know they've spent a lot of money on special effects trying to make the movie more marketable and have trimmed it down quite a bit. I just hope they didn't trim any of Sarah's scenes!

I hope they haven't done that. I just hope it's not a 90 minute film from a 3 hours film. That would say that there was something really wrong with the film.

"The third Goldwyn title will ring a bell for Cannes regulars. It's "Southland Tales," the Richard Kelly sci-fier that was hooted off the Croisette in 2006. Kelly pledged at the time to rework the film and he has, Schlessel said.

"It's a film that's intrinsically interesting to people," said Scott Shooman, exec director of acquisitions and production. "People will want to talk about it."

Laced with musical numbers, the film has a poppy cast including Justin Timberlake, Mandy Moore and Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson.

Several of the pic's principals have talked of a theatrical bow, but no plans are set, execs said."

They didn't even mention Sarah's name.
