Oh yes I want the very best possible for Sarah too. I just hate the fact that I will never get to meet her, and that I would probably be too scared to do so anyway, even if I got the chance.

When will The Return be released in the UK? Not for months I suppose.

The estimates are in for the weekend for TR: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/daily/c...6-11-12&p=.htm
Close to 5 Million. Not great, but nothing to sneeze at either.

It maybe bad, but it's beaten the new Clint Eastwood film and Babel.

I actually don't think it's bad at all, given that it was barely promoted, and what they did do just really started this week and was woefully inaccurate.

This film is quite good, IMO, but it's by NO means a horror film. This marketing bumble reminds me of the last year of Buffy when they tried to pitch every episode as a comedy.

In full agreement with you, FallenAvarice. They completely missed the spiritual meaning behind the film. When the word get's out it will start attracting an audience more in line with it's true meaning.

Here's what "The Hollywood Reporter" had to say about the past weekend and why certain films did better than others. It mentions TR several times:

You know what they say, it's worse not being talked about than being talked about. Thanks for the link.

Sarah's movie did better than Russell Crowe's new film so that's nothing to sneeze at!

There you go then! It's sticking two fingers up at the critics who are slagging the film off.

The only people I've seen disliking it are horror film fanatics, who are hardly at the forefront of intellectualism.

"What? You mean I have to *think*? WTF!!! This movie sucks!"

The counts for Monday put TR at $4,666.000. Still six hundred grand ahead of Russell Crowe!
We can thank the marketing dept. at Rogue for promoting TR as a horror film. Dipsticks.

Didn't the director say that it wasn't an out an out horror film?

True. I guess Rogue thought it might do better as a "Horror Film". Obviously they were wrong. In the states we would only be sticking up one finger! It took Spike's gesture in "Hush" to teach me what the V sign really means in GB!

Of course it is!
The box office for TR is now close to 7 million and still ahead of Crowe's film!

That's good. I didn't do extremely well, but it's holding it's numbers, somewhat.
