It will probably all boil down to whether she's available when they decide to start filming. Remember how she couldn't appear in the series end of "Angel" because she was in Japan filming "The Grudge"? Sarah said in the interview about "Southland Tales" that she didn't even know if she was dead or alive at the end of "The Grudge". It will all boil down to what they feel will make the most money and her availablity. I have a feeling she will do whatever she feels is best for her career at the time.

Well the end was a little like a cliffhanger. And even Sarah doesn't know if her character's survived.
