Baldwin Goes "Hunting" with Gellar

- Alec Baldwin has been cast as Sarah Michelle Gellar's love interest in The Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Baldwin will be the male lead in the adaptation of Melissa Bank's bestselling short-story compilation. He'll play an older Lothario in the publishing biz who wins over Gellar's ambitious book editor.

Production is scheduled to start in May, with screenwriter Marc Klein (Serendipity) making his writing-directing debut. The project is from independent firm Odd Lot Entertainment.

Holy geez, that is nasty.. Alec Baldwin and Sarah? I would much prefer ADAM Baldwin and Sarah. Ugh, I really don't like the sound of this... :/

Well, Baldwin is actually *younger* than the character he's playing. In the book, he's a bit older.

Also, if they stay true the novel, it's not portrayed as your typical 'romance'. It's actually kind of squicky, TBH. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

It looks like I'm in agreement with all of you - Alec Baldwin is definitely not the one I would like to see with Sarah in a romantic setting. [img]graemlins/yuk.gif[/img] Think there is any connection between this and the upcoming "Brooklyn Rules" where he co-stars with Sarah's hubby? Check the pictue out here: Alec Baldwin

I don't know about any connection, but I think he's the first actor to work with both of them in seperate films since they've been married. He's one lucky devil (side note: get that films sorted out too Alec with you and the Devil!)
