Natalie to Star in "Suspiria" Remake?

Password-protected industry talk site TrackingB.com broke the news yesterday afternoon saying Natalie Portman (V for Vendetta, Closer) is attached to the forthcoming Suspiria remake, written and directed David Gordon Green.

Portman will take over the role of an American dancer, previously essayed by Jessica Harper in Dario Argento's original, who travels abroad to further her studies at a ballet school. Evil ensues.

The original Argento film is pretty bloody in places but the horror is more theatrical and psychological than what Hollywood turns out these days.
