My Purvis Adventure!

So, after a couple of months of work, school and torture, I am FINALLY pleased to present to you all my small album of photos from Purvis, Mississippi.

Overall, the town's not that bad. It doesn't feel like you're out in the sticks. It feels like you're in a small, but growing, suburban town. It was a really hot day and my first stop once I got into town was a small gas station. I bought some bottled water and decided to fill up on gas. While fueling, I could see the Purvis welcome sign across the road. So, I decided to walk over and take a few pictures of the sign. From there, the pictures continue. Enjoy!

Notes (As of 6/28/09)

- A few of the roads in Purvis were strangely blocked off, so I didn't get to travel too far. I parked my car in Downtown Purvis and did the rest of my hiking on foot.

- The weather outside was in the mid 90s, so you already know that it was extremely hot. Please excuse if a picture is blurry due to the blazing heat.

- I made my stop in Purvis on a Sunday afternoon - which is the worst time to go. Everything closes up early on Sunday in Purvis (as early as 2 p.m.), so the town was dead.

- On the way out of Downtown Purvis, I saw the Movie Star Restaurant. I was a bit excited, but my excitement was drawn to a close immediately when I saw that the place was closed for renovations. The sign said that the
restaurant will open up again in October (this month). I'm supposed to be going back that way (Hattiesburg) in November, so we'll see what's up.

- I took the picture of the Hattiesburg/New Orleans sign pretty much for me. The town I visit often to see my friend (Hattiesburg) and my hometown (New Orleans).

haha cool little tour of Purvis there! Pretty interesting little trip you made for yourself. Now if only Lacey were visiting her relatives in the town and you happened to run by her lol

Hey Man! Cool pics! Thanks for sharing, we all appreciate it!

I hope you get to visit that Movie Star Restaraunt and perhaps The Stone House ;) the next time you're out there. And hopefully you will be able to see more of the town.

With you being only a hop, skip, and a jump from the Mecca of Mississippi, I'm surprised you don't visit every weekend. Are you Crissy's secret lover? Is that why she wouldn't do more than just look at me suggestively? I'll bet it is you.
