Yeah it is, actually. People from developed countries go to places like Vietnam or Thailand where they can "rent" a kid as young as 3 years old (boy or girl) and do all kinds of horrendous things. It's practically impossible to prosecute these people too. Since it brings in so much money for those countries, the government tends to just look the other way. I recall some model/actress poses as a buyer sometimes to trap the dealers. Her name escapes me though, but I know she's pretty famous. There are certainly some really sick people out there.

holy crap, thats terrible!!! I mean its heartbreaking enough when adults and teens fall victim to rapists, but my god to go as low as raping a 3 year old child?!?! thats just indescribeably and repulsively sick!!. what is wrong with some people?

Son of a biscuit! I was just in MS for a family thing over the weekend. Woulda found a way to stay if I'd known about this.

Anyone in FL thinking of going to this, maybe we could share a ride? Purvis is pretty small, so finding the restaurant will be trivial.

Do you think their mom and dad will be there, taking autographs and signing pictures?

Although it would be pretty neat to go to the Grand Opening. I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see Lacey there, considering she is apparently helping putting it all together, so she might as well go to this celebration. Hell, she may just be back in her home town because she is planning on celebrating her birthday down there!

Yes. Without the way they raised her, Lacey would be just another pretty face. She and I were raised with most of the same beliefs; in short, she knows she has been blessed in many ways and doesn't let it go to her head. She is (near as I can tell) the closest any woman has come to my ideal of perfection. She couldn't get better if she had a twin. And a person doesn't get that way without their parents making them that way.

Her parents are great role models - they love each other and kids pick up on that. They support their children's dreams. They are what she aspires to be.

I've had a lot of role-models in my life, most of them able to provide only a few good examples of what kind of man I think I should be, and a few able to be more than that. Julie and Tony are among the latter group; I hope that when I get to be in their shoes, I can be as good for my kids as they've been for theirs.

It would be as much an honor to meet them as to meet Lacey. It would almost be the same thing to me.

The tagline in my .sig isn't there just for cutesies. Though I don't yet have a website for her (I'm sure she's WAY too modest for such a thing, and I only know of two pictures with her in them, but if I could get a few good pics, and a hearty "Go ahead, I don't care", I'd probably set one up), I have been thinking a lot about setting up a small shrine. (Wouldn't hurt for me to get a raise to finance it

So yes, I'd really like to meet Lacey's parents. I'd probably even be a little less nervous meeting them, but only a little.

I've gotten autographs from lots of people, probably none of which anyone here has ever heard of. (Unfortunately, I've lost most of them, so I can't tell you who they were.) Mostly it's intended to be a genuine "I think you're worth something" kind of compliment, but also, you never can tell who's going to be famous. ;) After imitation, it's the sincerest form of flattery, but the advantage is that it takes only a second to convey. I guess it's just my "thing".

That's cool. I've never been into autographs much myself except for 2 exceptions:
1) Famous Athletes whose signature may be worth money to me
2) Lacey's (I've got a few. Some probably aren't genuine though because I got some from ebay. I used to give those ones away on my website, back in its hayday)

For the most part, I don't think I'd ask the average celeb I ran into for their autograph. Even if it was someone I really liked on TV. I'd rather get a picture with them on my cell phone for proof that I was lucky enough to have met them lol
