Lacey Fans Unite

I thought it would be interesting if fellow Lacey fans posted about themselves here and get an idea of what the typical Lacey fan is like. This isn't a "I'm 6'1", 120 pounds" kind of thing... more what you do with your days when not checking out the fanhost board. Dreams, goals, upcoming events... that sort of thing.

My major goal once I get back to the states is to get my private pilot's license and hike Pike's Peak. I'm really into the outdoors (ha) and love to travel-- especially by air. I'm a logistician: planning and optimizing activities within my realm of control. Right now, that isn't much but I should be getting more responsibilities in another year or so.

Currently I'm in the Marines. I was involuntarily called back to active duty not even 2 weeks ago. I served 4 years active as a Machine Gunner. I'm now a Sergeant, more thatn likely be commanding machine guns again. I should be leaving for Iraq around the September time frame.

Other than taht I love to draw, love cars, and love Lacey.

I recenetly moved out of my parents house, about 7 months ago. Since that time I've been working 2 jobs, average of 45 to 50 hours per week, to get by. I've also been attending courses at my local Community College. I just graduated with a Web Masters Certificate and a Gen Ed Assoc Degree. Neither of which I'm entirely thrilled about. I'm currently thinking about my steps with school, possibly going into the business of Finance and Accounting.
Other than that crap, I like to play video games and spend time with my girlfriend, who does not entirely approve of my Lacey-rific obsessions ;)

I like being a tourist; there are a lot of things to see, and I like to go places and see them. Most of my sightseeing has to do with ascending high places (mountains, bridges, tall buildings) and low places (caves). I enjoy driving, except through rush-hour traffic, looking at the night sky out in the middle of nowhere, and writing. I have forgotten more about computers than most people will ever know, and used to work on them professionally. I dream.

I don't watch a whole lot of TV myself, so I get most of my TV viewing from when other people are in the room watching it. Most of the things I'm interested in watching have to do with learning how things work.

In school, math and science were my strongest areas; I had no real weak areas, but I wasn't far enough above average to skip a grade or take college-level subjects. In my post-high school schools, I was top or near top in most of my classes.

I'm usually fairly quiet, unless you want to talk about something I know about. I know a little bit about most topics, and sometimes I come off as a bit of a know-it-all, but I almost always know what I'm talking about. When I have money, I tend to be generous; otherwise, I'm very careful with my money, because I've never had all that much. I don't need all that much, either.

My ambitions include living in a unique structure with a scenic view, being a writer of some note, being a photographic artist of some note, and giving Lacey a last name that's a lot easier for people to pronounce.
