Lacey to star in comedy pilot

I'm really excited about this, would be great to get a weekly dose of Chabert to keep us all sane. Although this is good news indeed I do hold some degree of pessimism.

We need to remember a few things, this is only a pilot so far and if the pilot doesn't impress the suits we will never see Lacey on the show and secondly it's FOX we're talking about here, if it gets picked up and the ratings are slightly low they will not hesitate to cancel the show.

What are your guys thoughts on this?

It certainly can be interesting for sure. I'd love to watch Lacey on a weekly basis again.

Lacey seems to be enjoying the comedy work which is great because I love comedy. And hopefully if this show is any again I might actually like and not just watch it only because Lacey is in it lol

I just hope it isn't on level with the comedies you see on late night tv where it's so bad and not funny at all yet the canned laughter goes nuts

I'd like to see how Lacey handles comedy. Her role in NATM wasn't really illustrative... plus I think a lot of us cringed at the humor. Now that we are older (mostly), and given her movies such as "the scoundrel's wife" and "the pleasure drivers" we'll be more receptive to her try at humor-- assuming it gets aired as luv_monkey says.

Well that guest appearance she did on the Drew Carey show was ok. I think she can pull it off but you can only do so much if the jokes are crappy in the script.

if it does well, i see fox treating much the way they do with "the war at home" and comedies like that. they tend to move them around a lot to see where it can find it's audience. also theres this new show coming out now on fox created by seth mcfarlane from family guy and look what they're doing with it. i think they showed it sometime last week and they showed two eps in one night. then they did the same this past sunday and they're doing it again this sunday night. who knows how they'll treat this show.

I hope she gets a full show, but it's Fox and they have a habit of cancelling shows. Reminds me of that joke off Family Guy.

Thanks for the news. I hope this one actually happens. Most comedies do get canceled, but we can hope.
