| GoD's SoN Newbie | ODE TO MISS CHABERT She has ruby red lips and porcelin skin, She's pretty on the outside and gorgeous within. Her eyes are as bright as a sunrise, When I see her I'm speechless, breathless and tongue-tied. Her hair flows like a waterfall, She's a statueque beauty at 5 foot 2 inches tall. When I see her smile everything just feels right, Similar to what heaven must feel like. She's anything but just another pretty face, She's a witty girl with intelligence and grace. How can I convey that she's more than just an average cutie, The beauty marks on her body are just a mark of her incredible beauty. But her personality and the way she carries herself is what makes her so attractive, I'm drawn to her like bees to pollen or metal to magnets. It's not an obsession or an infatuation, It's more like a fan showing his appreciation. Last edited by CoMMonSenSe : 01-23-2008 at 11:39 PM. |

| Moderator ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I must have forgotten all about this thread because I never showed off my crappy ass art! Now mind you, I have never considered myself an artist and I know these are terrible lol I give you permission to make fun ![]() Also, I put the link to the picture that I was sketching from.. Or atleast the picture I think I sketched from. These were made around year 2000 or earlier. | Member of Sylar's Army ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | you know what, when i looked at the first drawing i right away knew what pic you drew that from. i don't know how i knew, i just did. it would be cool to sketch lacey if she were right in front of me. that would be a dream. kinda like in the titanic movie. wait....yeah that sounds about right. |

| Newbie | The first pic is workable. The second.... Your mother must've been very proud, hanging it on the refrigerator. The third... wouldn't win any contests either. Don't get me wrong - my ability to draw is worse than yours. With some practice, I have no doubt you could be better. The first one is just on the cusp of being good enough to find a home on my hard drive. Thanks for sharing! Hope you make more attempts and share them in the near future. |

| Newbie | Hi guys. I'm new here, and I have a couple drawings I wouldn't mind sharing. Not great drawings, but if you guys were interested. I tried to upload them but it is saying the upload failed. Both jpg and under 300 kb. Not really sure as to what to do. I'm a newb. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Bare with me if you will. |

| Newbie | Thank you RLM. Here they are. ![]() and [img=http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/1796/laceydraw2mq1.th.jpg] I drew them a while back. So the paper is showing the time passed. Constructive criticism welcomed. Thanks again for the help. Hopefully this works. |

| Newbie | Holy carp! If you ain't a professional, you probably SHOULD be! These are fantastic. Do you remember how long it took you to make these? Do you think you can make more? I'd really like to see more. Since you asked for some criticism, I'm going to give you some and hope that it serves you. The first one, the head's not quite tall enough (she looks a bit cherubic), and this is easily evidenced by her nose not being tall enough. It also seems like her forehead got sloped back a little too severely. Third, you've treated her eyes unevenly: one eye has a dark area under it and the other doesn't. In many pics, she has dark areas under her eyes (as if she isn't getting enough sleep, which jibes with her being as busy as I think she is) and they aren't quite as pronounced as you've made he one, even without makeup. With makeup, they're hardly noticeable unless you're studying her face. Fourth, her bustline looks wrong somehow. I've seen pictures that had features like that, so it isn't necessarily a mistake, and I can't really spell out what's wrong beyond the strap on her right being too thick for the angle it's being viewed at. Lastly, her right arm could use a little more shadowing. It took a great deal of time for me to realize that was an arm and not something in the background. The second one has less wrong with it. Laugh lines are hard to get right without being unflattering; Lacey's laugh lines aren't QUITE as pronounced as those, and you've hardly got any there. It's really tough to put them in and get them perfect, so you're better off leaving them out unless she's got a smile. You've again made her head a little too short, and it even looks a tad skewed incorrectly for the viewing angle. The under-eye areas seem to be good here, though the lowermost line under her right eye could be removed and the lowermost one under her left could be shortened so it doesn't look like a wrinkle with the one above it. Overall, this is a fantastic job! You've got the curves of her cheeks right and eyes sized right (those are hard to get sometimes), and you did a great job on the hair, especially in keeping it out of her face, but showing the usual stragglers (which occasionally DO get in her face). Most of all, they are recognizably her; the importance of that may seem obvious, but there are plenty of pics out there which look nothing like the person they are portraying. Seriously man, these are good. Get some practice in and get better. |
