So I know Lacey's 23rd Birthday was a few days ago, but hopefully she hasn't checked here yet because I would like add just a little something for her! I just found this old recording from when I was 17 - ugh I sound so different (and better) now, but I thought it was fun, so here it is: "All I Need is the Girl" from the musical "Gypsy" (which incidientally Lacey played the part of Baby June in the 1993 movie version. Enjoy!

I have to ask, why did you record yourself singing that song anyway? I'm not intending flame in your direction or anything, I'm just wondering if you're a performer/singer/entertainer or something. Or if thats just a hobby of yours.

Well I do perform in musicals and plays and also sing a lot in church, but the main reason I recorded that song when I was 17 was that I was auditioning for a professional production with it and I was trying to improve myself by self-evaluation. =) I also record pop stuff, too. It's actually really fun for me, so I guess you could say it's a hobby.

19. I've come a long way since then (and not just in performing! Graduating high school, starting college, having a job with a lot of responsibility - it's all very liberating. I feel so much more mature now than I did just two years ago.
