Has anyone heard any news on how Lacey's hometown, Purvis MS, made out after the hurricane? The last I heard, her grandfather still had a place there. The only news I've read is from nearby Hattiesburg, where it looks like it hit hard but nothing like at Biloxi or New Orleans. Hattiesburg Newspaper

Hattiesburg got hit really hard...so there's no telling on the extent of the damage in Purvis. I, however, no longer have a home. We were forced to move north and now, we're in Little Rock, Arkansas. I really don't care if New Orleans gets restored. I'm never going back there again. Oh yeah, just for the record, I'm safe, along with the rest of my family. I hope you all are doing well. We're trying to find a house either here, Dallas, or all the way west in California. I'll check back here from time to time to see you guys. It's just quite tragic that this happened to us. :(

well dude even though i dont know you im glad to hear ur okay. Im sorry about all the stuff that went down man. I live in the little rock area(for a couple more days anyway). I went down and donted some water and stuff and helped them pack up some stuff on the trucks that theve been sending out there. Hopefully it is helping some of the people without food and water and stuff but im not really sure. Im actually being shipped to basic training early to cover for some of the people that got caught up in that mess. i was supposed to leave next month. But i dont really mind. Whatever i can do to help out.

I just read on yahoo news that the Air Force is bringing back 300 soldiers from Iraq/Afghanastan to help with the relief effort from katrina. That might not mean much to ya'll but it makes me feel a whole lot prouder to be part of the air force knowing that they are willing to sacrafice filling positions overseas to come help out in there own country in a time of much needed help

Thanks everyone! As soon as I get my own computer again, I'll keep up with events on Lacey...and you guys. Thanks again for your support! What's wierd is that I saved all of the Lacey images that I downloaded in the past on my PSP, so there are tons of pictures on it. Just want to let you guys know that Lacey and all of you here on FH are still in my thoughts everyday. See you all again soon!
