Lacey's religion?

I've read in old interviews that Lacey was a Christian. Is she still a Christian? Just wondering.

If you go to the "Lacey's Personality" thread, I speculate the possibility she might be Catholic because of her Cajun roots. The Cajun region of the South has a strong Catholic presence, considering that most of the Bible Belt/South is evangelical Protestant.

catholics ARE christians. I've always imagined she was a protestant precisely BECAUSE most of the south is protestant. Louisianna does have catholic roots, but that was pre-purchase days. Thanks to the Klan, I imagine a lot of Catholics left that region a long time ago. Her lineage is from Louisianna, but she was born in Mississippi. Her family (or she) could have converted as well. There a lot of x-factors when talking about this kind of thing.

I don't think Catholics in Louisiana had anything to worry about. Sure there was the Klan, but when the Klan reformed in the 1920s (the original Klan broke up at the end of Reconstruction), they actually settled in the Midwest, particularly Indiana and Missouri. Louisiana was also somewhat of a safe haven in the South for non-WASPs. When Huey Long was governor of Louisiana, his welfare program was open to people of all races, even Blacks.

As far as the Catholic/Christian thing, maybe she does not want to give away her actual faith. Maybe by saying she's Christian, that's all that we need to know. It's like saying if you're Jewish, you don't have to say if you're Orthodox, Conservative, or Reform, you're Jewish (Ironically enough, I was at a website which had a list of Jewish celebrities, and it said Lacey was Jewish. Now I know that's a big lie, but I know Scott Wolf is Jewish; in fact, he was in the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity in college, a Jewish social fraternity).

I'm still banking that Lacey's Roman Catholic, and if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But that's just my guess.

Color me clueless, but where did they say that Lacey's character in Mean Girls was Jewish? I saw the film twice and I never gleaned anything that this was so. Just wondering.

Nope, I actually found this website years ago that listed her as Jewish. I also would not recommend this website because it's slightly anti-Semitic and has a "Jews run the media" type of attitude. Definitely not a credible website.

She mentions something about getting Hanukkah gifts or something, don't know exactly what she said, but it's inferred that Gretchen is a JAP (Jewish-American princess) girl.

I was hoping for her to convert to agnosticism or atheism... yet again I am sadly dissapointed.
