Default I'd like your opinion on this one.

What if a person had written a script and thought the main character in it was perfect for a certain actress whose initials happen to be a KLK.
Should that person take a chance and send it off to her agent in hopes that she might read it and possibly become interested in the role? This script is not for a feature film, but would be for a mini-series made for television.

Yes, I do have a script for our favorite actress here, KLK, and I think she would be the best person to play the lead role. I think it's a great role, but of course that's my opinion, she may never be interested in a role like this.
Maybe it would just be a futile but interesting exercise on my part. If I sent it to her agent, she may never even read it or get a chance to look at it beause she's got too much on her plate right now. Or if she did, maybe she'd get a big laugh out of it. Hey, it's at least worth a laugh, or maybe not. Hopefully, she wouldn't be offended though, if so, I apologize profusely for wasting her time.

Anyway, I'm leaning towards sending it off to her agent, what the hey, just for the fun of it. You've got to do something a little crazy once in your life and this is probably it for me. The script may not even be good enough. Maybe this isn't the right way of going about it either, but I thought I'd try it.

I know the chances of getting something produced is quite a long shot, but you know, you only go around once in this life. You're not reincarnated a thousand times to get it right. So, my gut feeling is to do this, but I could be wrong. If she's not interested, even saying she gets a chance to look at it, fine. That's the way it goes.

So, to send it to her agent or not, that is the question.

i think you should get it copyrighted first, or something like that. just some way to insure your script. making sure that someone wrong doesn't get their hands on it and then use it for themselves. stuff like that happens.

Your trading into very complicated waters. Unfotunatly its not something you can just do on a whim. Scriptwriting isnt that easy and is filled with legal mumbo-jumbo. If your serious about it you may need to get a book (a long one) on what to do.

You need to go through the process of copywriting it like rlm said. Its the first and most important thing to do.

You need to go through the Writers Guild: I dont know everything about it but there a union. Just like docks cant hire people who arnt part of the dock workers guild I dont think producers or agents can pick or even read scripts that arnt registered with the screen/script writers guild.

Since Kristin is not one of this A-LIST Celebrities, it may be best if you sent your script to her agent, AFTERr you have sent it to someone who can Direct, unless this is something you can do?

Also, if there is any way to copywrite it, you may want to do that first.

I'm not 100% certain how this stuff works, but that's my advice this far.
