Flying for Lana?

Anybody got any idea how Supes flies in the new season of Smallville? I saw something that mentioned Lana crashing in a helicopter and Clark having to save her but I thought the only way it'd work is if she's on the other side of the Earth where he'd have to be in a split second to save her where running wouldn't work. If she's just in Metropolis, it'd be too easy for him just to run there and catch the helicopter. It'll obviously revolve around KK as all Smallville matters seem to as all other things in life do.

lana went down with the helicopter. she didn't die though, of course.

Exactly. But all I've been hearing since the beginning of this last season was, "this is the year Supes flies." Judging by that last episode he may finally do it to save her but a) he didn't know about her crashing I don't think and b) it just seems illogical that he couldn't run there to help her if he did. Which leads me back to my original question: does anyone know if this is where he flies, which to me would be a bit lame, or are they going to hold until she's really impossible to reach like I think they should? I haven't checked the rumor mill is all.

in the very first episode of season 4 he flew as kal-el. not to save anybody though.

Yes I saw the episode. It's only been a FEW months you know. The helicopter was going down and Clark was in the Great White North. As far as I can remember, he was obsessing about the oncoming meteor shower and didn't know about Lana going down. What am I missing in my question about what's going to happen that I have to further elaborate on for you guys?

Okay, let's try this the easiest way I can think of for those who are having trouble:
IS CLARK GOING TO FLY FROM THE NORTH TO SAVE LANA IN THE CRASHING HELICOPTER IN THE 1ST EPISODE OF THE NEW SEASON OR ARE THEY GOING TO STALL FOR SOMETHING MORE DRAMATIC TO MAKE HIM FLY LIKE I THINK THEY SHOULD? I admit, I haven't been keeping up w/the Smallville boards so it's probably known by now. As for when he previously flew, I just started watching this year and just started Season 2 on my Netflix so I haven't seen him fly yet.

Lana...already...went...down...with...the helicopter. The pilot died...Lana seems to have broken her leg again. she even desperately crawls away from the copter....

spoilers for the season premiere have been leaked already as well. Clark doesn't save Lana from anything.

Got it. So back to why I started watching this stinkin' show this season anyway: when the hell's he gonna fly? Anybody know from the comics if Lana Lang actually knows who Clark really is or are we looking forward to a long series of ducking, dodging, and uncomfortable pauses between the two of them? I think Tom and KK look great together and they need to end the series the right way for them (I'm still amazed the two haven't hooked up offscreen, really).

In some versions she does know. He tells her during prom. I totally agree, they need to finally go through with it, and Lana in on the secret yeesh. There's a good chance that this is their last season because not only does it look like their pulling at straws for storylines but they've moved to a new night that was reported as the toughest competition (thursday nights).

I hear ya on the those two ending on a good note. It just needs to happen already. Being together for a day and a half doesn't count as a relationship. Clark and Lana are supposed to be high school hearts, according to the TPTB, but....they graduated already! They're friggin idiots...I'm glad I stopped reading up on SV news. I'm just sticking with it KK right now, if she left the show...I'd be right behind her.
