| Member ![]() ![]() | There's some decent hostels right downtown in Vancouver. I think there's two on Robson st, somewhere around Helmken, and there's also one on Cambie st, right by the Cambie Pub, which is great when it comes to meeting people to hang out with if you happen to be lonely and need company. |

| Member ![]() ![]() | that's ok ,Gin. you can still go down robson and bump into some stars when you're lucky while they shop there. robbin willaims seen at virgin megastore and miranda richardson shopping at the gap. these of course is according to tv week magazine july 16-22. KK has pic in there too coz she was spotted @ cin-cin on robson and then at a cafe on burrard. hope you have fun in vancouver. sorry i don't know anything about hostels. |

| Member ![]() ![]() | Oops sorry, they're not on robson (but they're close!), they're on Granville St. The ones on Granville St are in a safer location, because the Cambie is in Gastown which has a lot of druggies in it. I'd probably only stay there if you were planning on going with someone. I'd probably recomment the one that is right beside a club/bar called the Royal. And if you're planning on using transit to get around the hostels on Granville by close to several major bus routes and the skytrain. |

| Ten perfect days in a row... sunny, all blue cloudless skies, 70 - 75F everyday... cool breezes off the english bay. I'm sold. I could live in VanCity. Kits beach was a lot more public than I expected... crowded, with lots of activity... footballs bein tossed, basketball courts right behind the beach... we even got recruited into a beach volleyball game, pretty competitive with full layouts for gets and such. It would be hard for K to be incognito there. Spanish Banks beach, both 1 and 2, were an absolute zoo. I doubt KK would ever go there. But I can see why flutterby is drawn to Jericho beach... nicer setting... less populous, therefore quieter... bigger spaces between sunbathers. You can get some privacy there. That's what I thought Kits would be like. If she'd be lookin for a "getaway" beach to catch her rays, K's best bet would be that little 3rd beach in Stanley Park. Covelike and isolated, there were only a handful of people down there. Anyway, though I hollered her name from time to time, she never posted at any of these beachs while I was there. | By the way makulit, I happened by the Fox and Fiddle on Georgia St. and the place was dark. The name was still on the front but its either undergoing a complete renovation or becoming a new restaurant. We ate at a Whitespot in the next block. Those places are everywhere but they feature those tasty Granville Island microbrews. |

| Member ![]() ![]() | cool! you saw fox and fiddle. man i haven't been downtown in like 2 weeks. so it's being renovated, eh? well honestly when we ate there i wasn't too impressed with the food. mind you i only had a burger and fries. burger was tastless though. the only thing that made it worth it was that KK was there. i hope you ate at other nice vancouver restaurants too, not just white spot. did you enjoy your trip? ahhh yes granville island beers are awesome. my favorite is granville island maple cream ale. |

yeah makulit, we dined in some nice joints: the Red Door Granville @ 2996 granville... good sushi and chow of the orient. Cactus Club Cafe and Amarcord Italiano on hamilton st. in yaletown. Characters Tavern on alexander st. in gastown, located directly across the street from where KK shot her initial scene with Ackles in the premier epi last season... the scene where they were supposed to be on a Paris street. Also, The Keg on granville island, another chain I guess, but it was a fun place in the middle of all the action. Everybody friendly... great time. | |
