Kristin a smoker?

It's funny, all the encounters of Kristin I've read about, have been of her by herself, with her girl friends or with Allison Mack (Chloe from Smallville) never with a guy or with guys. [img]graemlins/eek.gif[/img]

So when exactly does she hang out with her boyfriend if it's not at clubs, bookstores, coffee shops, concert (Radiohead, John Mayer) or on Valentine's Day? [img]graemlins/eek.gif[/img]

A lot of celebs do manage to keep their boyfriends or girlfriends a secret.

The media though tend not to bother about them for whatever reason, be it for some other story or whatever.

It's so cool nowadays, not long ago it was seen in such a bad light but now it's pretty damn important you're seen with a smoke in your mouth.

Smoking is dumb and unnecessary. Not only does it stink your breath, your body, and your clothes, it yellows your teeth, significantly increases your chance for lung and breast (if you're a woman) cancer, dirties your lungs with disgusting tar, decreases your lung intake so you become more out of shape, increases your inability to lose weight after smoking for a while, i.e. people gain weight trying to quit, wrinkles your skin prematurely, increases the potential for impotence in men, adversely affects those who you smoke around through second hand smoke, is habit forming (duh) etc. Why would she want to do that? I could go on, but I'm tired.

Its not that nobody has seen her with guys. Its just that whenever someone says they did, we write it off and call it a bullship story, or we just forget that it ever happened (see above). People have seen her with a guy, but "he's a cousin", or "they looked like they were just friends." Or the best was, "I know who her regular group of friends are, and trust me, the guy she was with was just an old friend." Some of this may be true, but nobody knows much about her, and yet you deny it anyway based on hunches and guesses. I really don't think any of you are ready to find out that KK has a bf, because you would just deny deny deny.

Why would girls who have encounter Kristin deny the guys she's hanging out with? Because some of those encounters I'm referring were by girls too... gosh even the guy who had those encounter didn't seem like love sick Kristin fans neither...

Some of this may be true, but nobody knows much about her, and yet you deny it anyway based on hunches and guesses. I really don't think any of you are ready to find out that KK has a bf, because you would just deny deny deny.

I personally don't like rumors and find that all they lead to is suspicion and nothing good comes from that. All I've heard wrt KK having a bf is claims but no real evidence. In my case (I can only speak for myself), it isn't a matter of being "ready" to find out that she has a boyfriend. It wouldn't shock me at all in the least that she had one and it certainly wouldn't lead to denial. In fact, it would be completely surprising to me that she doesn't have one because she is so beautiful. But then again, she is quite young and has a right to be extremely picky and may be waiting for Mr. Right so it wouldn't be surprising to me either that she didn't have one. The fact is nobody except her family and true friends know her well, so unless they, and even KK herself, are on here posting secretly, all I can assume is the evidence is vacuous because all I have seen is unsubstantiated claims.

I seriously doubt that she smokes but i don't know her. So she might she might not. But sometimes i can tell by a persons face if they smoke or not. I'm not always right but sometimes i am. And KK doesn't look like someone who would smoke. But what do i know.

Should we perhaps ban McDonalds and call anyone eating a Big Mac an idiot?

To palm such things off as stupid as they hurt us does not look at the real reason why they took it up.

For one, the acting industry requires people to stay in shape, smoking provides an appetite supressant.

Might even be that the increase of media attention makes her feel the need to stay trim be it through whatever methods.

Might even be that places like in here (which, yes I was part of a while back) lead actresses to feel an ever increasing strain on their lives in relation to the way they look.

People do dumb things. That doesn't necessarily make them dumb, and nothing in what I wrote implied that if you do dumb things that makes you an idiot. People are individuals, they have been given free will, and thus, choose to do the things that they do. However, people have been given minds as well, and when certain activities are deemed significantly detrimental to a person's health, and the person continues to pursue in those activities, then that person's mentality can be called into question. That doesn't mean they can be forced into stopping what they are doing. I have some friends who smoke and want them to quit because I don't want to see them die of cancer or the like. I can't force them to stop, just convince them to, they will continue to be my friends, and I don't think they are idiots at all. Addiction is a hard thing to beat.

The notion of "perfect beauty" of models and actresses in magazines and Hollywood not representing "normal" women and its psychological effect on young girls and women has been incessantly reported on in the media. It's not going to change anytime soon, especially in an industry which relies on beauty as a money making tool.

Of course, there is no doubt. The industry feeds off of beautiful people. The pressure is there just like in any other industry. It's up to the person in question how he/she handles it.

I think if someone eats fast food everyday they're an idiot and I also think someone who does dangerous sports everyday they're an idiot as well...

But if you go sky driving ONCE or eat a Big Mac every other month it's not going to hurt you anywhere near as smoking every day.

Not everyone eats fast food everyday and not everyone does a dangerous sports everyday. People who smoke, do it everyday, I have yet met someone who smokes who doesn't do it everyday, only those who are trying to quit.

So comparing fast food and dangerous sports to smoking is like comparing oranges and apples. when you eat fast food you're harming yourself, when do you dangerous sports you're harming yourself, when you're smoking you're harming everyone around you and yourself with the smoke you smoke.

Why would a doctor tell a fat person to pick up smoking when after they're done losing the weight and smoking they'll gain it all back? What kind of doctor is that? I would sue them for giving someone that advice when there's other ways to lose the weight which won't harm your body.

I thought the whole point of losing weight is to be healthy, not to add another problem to the list.

Some of these points are fascinating and all, but the point is that if you're a fan of KK's, and it was discovered that she has been a smoker all this time, and then you thought less of them and didn't want to be a fan of hers anymore, you probably weren't a very loyal fan to begin with. It really doesn't change anything about her, other than the ideal image of KK you have of her in your head. But again, you don't even know her, so this ideal was never real. Finding out she smokes doesn't make her different than she was last week, or 2 months ago.

Most of my friends back home (not Uni friends, just my oldest friends from home) have smoked regularly at one time or another, and our friendship didn't change. I didn't like their smoking, and think its a dumb thing to do, but that doesn't change our relationships at all because it doesn't change the individual.

I hope she's not smoking, if she is then I'm going to start. I'm sure she's not gay, because most of her roles so far have been straght characters.

NO WAY she's a smoker. Its just not part of her quality-value persona. I'd be really surprised to learn otherwise. But if she did smoke, its her choice, and it wouldn't change my feelings about her... like abs said. [img]graemlins/shake.gif[/img]

The cigs don't really harm people when they're young, though their stamina to play sports at an optimum level might be affected. The hurt comes when they can't quit later on. I've read in "findings" of Amer. Med. Assn. that if you're done with your bad habits by 40 or therabouts, the body has amazing recuperative powers. Beyond 40 is when it becomes a REAL health risk. A person who smokes 2 packs a day is certainly hurting themselves more than a person who has the occasional big mac. But ban mcdonalds?!?! I get my satisfaction from knowing that the people who abuse their bodies are most likely gonna die before me. Think positive.
As for Kreuk? This is yet another thread where we can only speculate until there's proof. And if this is anything like the boyfriend thread, we'll be guessing for a few years without ever knowing.

You never know about people. Check out this about Natalie Portman smoking at natalieportman.com A picture was recently published of her at some gala event and she was definitley smoking. She has spoke out against it in the past. Also pictures of Lindsay Lohan and Kirsten Dunst smoking have surfaced. This has been discussed on their fanhost site. To each their own.

i don't want to say it either way, but i still think kk isn't a smoker. i am a smoker and no i don't smoke everyday and no i'm not trying to quit. i only smoke when i'm:
1. in my or a friend's car
2. on breaks at work
3. having a drink (or at a bar in general)
4. out with my friends

it's a social thing for me and i've been smoking since i was at least twelve or thirteen and i'm twenty-one going on twenty-two this year so i think it's unfair to say that smokers do smoke everyday because i never smoke in my house unless i'm super craving but i can go whole weeks without lighting up when i'm really engulfed in work or a book or whenever doing something really interesting.

but smoking is a big social thing, like drinking only you're not a smokeaholic if you do it alone. more people tend to smoke when they're in crowds. for instance, i smoked almost a whole pack the other day at the bar just because whenever someone called a "smoke break" i was lighting right up with them. kk isn't that much of a socializer from what you hear in interviews, but then again people say differently on this board. so maybe she has a cigarette or two while she is at the clubs? there are plenty of people who reserve smoking for only those occassions. but like abstract said, this is all speculation either way.

Just another "who would have thought she smoked?" - was reading Ted C.'s Awful Truth column on eonline.com ( April 22nd & 29th columns)and wrote that Jessica Simpson was spotted smoking in her car in a studio parking lot. And that Mischa Barton is vying (drinks and smokes) with Lindsey Lohan for party girl title. Not to advocate anything but it seems to be a trend among the young set so I wouldn't be surprised if Kristin did.
