| I just have a quick question. I'm doing a project on Kristin Kreuk and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me. How is Kristin Kreuk distinctly Canadian and how has she impacted/influenced history and advanced Canada's image? Thanks. Gwen |

| moderator ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | uh not that we are supposed to do your assignments for you or anything but kristin once said something to the effect that even though she is part dutch and part chinese, she feels that she is only canadian and does not feel bound by the ties of race. as in, she doesn't consider herself asian, and she doesn't consider herself dutch. she is just kristin kreuk, a girl born in canada. nothing more, nothing less. |

I think you would do well to have someone else in mind for *this* sort of project. There is so many others worthy of your time and research. Is there anyone else you had in mind? [ December 26, 2003, 06:23 PM: Message edited by: £eïsàh Mårïe ] | |

| "Personally I don't think, or feel that Kristin has impacted or influenced history or advanced Canada's image all that much, if at all." I agree. She's from Canada, but you wouldn't know that from watching the show, nor does the WB really say that anywhere.. you hear more that the show is filmed in Vancouver, BC then you do KK's Canadian. She mentions it in all most of her interviews.. but as far as advancing the image of Canada.. I don't see it.. sorry. |
