This is newness to me. I really didn't know about this and Kristin never said this in her interviews.

In the spring of 2001, she met the casting director for a new series that the Warner Bros Television Network was working on called Smallville. The new series was about a young Clark Kent, and his secret love for Lana Lang. Kristin was initially skeptical after hearing the premise, as she felt that the character of Lana sounded far too boring, and would have little or nothing going for her. However she went to Los Angeles for a meeting with the producers, and on reading the script, changed her mind. When offered the role, she immediately accepted.

Now, imagine you if she says: não thanks.

I think, if she said 'No' to that part I wouldn't be on this message board [img]smile.gif[/img] I would've thought she was definitely cute when 'Legend of Earthsea' came out, but wouldn't have watched it. Seeing her on Smallville made me sure not to miss anything else she works on.

I'm glad she said yes.

I remember reading that awhile ago...Kristin didn't think that Lana's character had much "depth," but once she read about the graveyard she realized that there was more to Lana, IIRC.
