This is very different from others. But I don't think this is the best way to please someone... It is not because Kristin makes her donations, that the fans also had to help. I think that this is a personal thing of each one. On the other hand, it's very early for thinking about the Kristin's birthday though. |

| Kreukoholic ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm glad we're starting earlier this year...maybe people will actually participate...lol great job! Edit: If you want to get more people donating I think you should try to get an actual domain name or atleast be a subdomain of one of the big KK sites. Unfortunately a lot of bad people use cjb and other free website providers as a place where they can trick people out of their money. Some people may be reluctant to participate simply because you are a cjb site. Like if you were to register kristinkreukbirthday.com it would only be $9 for the year from godaddy.com. Or if you don't mind having your project sponsored by one of the big KK sites it could be like birthday.kristinkreuk.net or whereever. [ June 19, 2005, 09:06 AM: Message edited by: ViNsAniTy ] |

So often that by one email sent to the webmaster, we'll have this project up there by no time. If anyone willing to buy a domain and host this website, by all means...go right ahead. I would do it, but by Aug I'll be switching all my domains/hosting to my own server...if I get this domain that'll be one more thing I have to worry about having to change. And it's not a scam people. Promise you that. You can take our word for it or not. It's your choice. [ June 22, 2005, 09:28 AM: Message edited by: Filmgirl ]

| ill believe it just because maria said its ok, but if i didnt know her, i'd still be questioning if its legit or not. like how can we be really sure? its not even on the dts main page. i suggest you find some other big site to back it up, or it'll just seem like a scam. |

So like I said, you either can choose not to believe it or believe it. Honestly, there's no real way to prove anything. Want me to give you my fullname, cell number and home address? Would that make you feel better?! Because what other way can we prove that isn't a scam?! Saying having big sites support it, isn't proving anything since all i have to do is send an email stating what the project is about and ask them if they'll post something on their site about it and either they'll post something about it or not. Still that doesn't prove anything. Already have SmallvillePH supporting it and smallvillenews.com by just sending an email asking them to support it. So...yeah, again how is having site’s supporting this project prove to you guys it's not a scam at the end?! Donate two dollars, if it doesn't end up going to where we say it's going to go, then I guess it's a scam and you guys were right all along. Donno what to say... no one twisting your arm to donate. So you're free to do what you please. [ June 22, 2005, 07:58 PM: Message edited by: Filmgirl ]

I am not saying that this project seems like a scam. I appreciate the work being done by all involved with the project, it is a great idea and I know it will turn out well.

how exactly will anyone know that by the end of the day this isn't a scam? Because a few fan sites were kind enough to post this project as news one day? Big Smallville sites or Kristin sites aren't Yahoo or Google. They can be wrong at times when it comes to those who they end up trusting when it comes to reporting news. It happens, even to major news site (E! with Nick and Jessica)! So like I said, you either trust it or you don't. No one twisting your arm to donate. If you feel safer by having Maria post about it at DTS...then well she already posted it on DTKK days ago. It seems like people are looking for conflict with this project since they could had easily done some research and see that DTKK posted it as news... if that's all they needed to ensure them it's not a scam. | Kreukoholic ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | No the sites would not be making money out of it, but if it was a scam and they endorsed it they would lose support from some of their regulars...do you agree? So in the end they could lose money by supporting a potential scam. Any good webmaster would be very careful supporting anthing like this, and when they do support it, hopefully you know they did their research and you can trust them. That's all I'm trying to say. If you don't agree, that is fine, I just hope you realize that some people may think this way. We're all just trying to help the project be as successful as it should be. |

I can't force websites to support the project either. I emailed K-site about the project and I didn't even get a reply back even deny the idea. So my question to you is what are the major sites out there who will be willing to support this project? because from where I'm standing, major sites are pretty limited when to something Kristin Kreuk related. Affiliating it with a major KK site somehow will make it more credible. Of course we have to decide to trust the project or not. That's obvious to everyone. However, its more trustworthy to have it affiliated with a site that people visit regularly and trust. If I made a page asking for.....um......oh......lets use DONATIONS as an example, and asked people to donate money to help farmers in Ghana deal with unfair trade agreements the country has with other larger nations, wouldn't it be much more successful if it was affiliated with the MakeTradeFair campaign? The answer is "yes." Argue with us all you want, I guess. Its not our "project," so we won't feel so bad.
