Baaaaah, she should'a gotten more then a nod for her awesome role on Dark Angel, damn it. .. that was a GOOD show, why'd they have to can it for Buffy!? Not that there's anythin' wrong with Buff, just .. the whole plot outline and cast of characters was a very original idea, where as .. vampires.. vampires.. .. it's been done. Still.. .. golden globes are like the, "high class, dramatic" awards show. I find it hard to sit through, but surely Smallville's gonna be nominated for somethin' like this, I mean it's a good show, alot better than all this reality crap we see -- ah, but not quite as entertaining? Smallville will never get a Golden Globe or Emmy nod or award for best Show and kristin won't get a Best Drama actress nod. Gilmore girls, Everwood would get one before them.

Although you're probably right dumbfword, i'd still say that the writers of Smallville did an awesome job. I mean i never would have thought of some of the ways they've gone with it. And just having picked the characters they picked like Kristin makes it 100 times better.

If ya'll saw this weeks Smallville they brought up Lois Lane as Chloe's cousin. I wonder where that's going to end up, and who they'll get to play her. I just got to say that whoever they pick better be at least as good as Kristin. But if i was in Clark's shoes i wouldn't care who it was i'd still pick Lana after knocking off Adam. sorry, but kristin isn't a great actress. She is beautiful, but she's a developping actress..who knows in a few years, she might be amazing, but right now I still see her in a learning process. And we've only seen her in two very similar roles..perhaps we can label her differently when she fullfills another type of role and portrays something different.

SMG was good in Buffy. But I think she received her Emmy for her soap opera days (as the world turns). She is a good actress - A list.

SMG won a daytime emmy and when was Nominated for a Golden Globe in 2001.

You're right dumbfword. I didn't say Smallville was the best writen show ever and would win every Golden Globe. I know the writing is very repetitive. I was just saying that i liked it.

And yes let us please stay on topic about Kristin, and go to another forum if ya'll want to talk about anyone else.

What you have to understand is that even if Smallville is a decent show, there are too many shows on television that are better. In order for anyone on the show to be recognized, their writers have to do an amazing job. Great actors + bad scripts does not bring awards to the actors involved.

You can't possibly say that Smallville is in the top 5 of their Golden Globe category (whatever that is). There is at least one show on the tele each night that is better than Smallville, guaranteed. ER wasn't nominated, and I'm sure they can look at the list of nominee's and think, "Geez, our category is a tough one!!" With a list like that, can they really start complaining? The competition is tough, that's all. I'm sure they understand, and so fans should understand that Kristin will never be nominated for a GG for Smalleville.

face it guys, Kristen is very very fit and gorgeous but thats all, she hasn't shown herself to be a 'good' actress thats why she hasn't been nominated etc. u guys are just fans who think she should win everything. as soon as she does a serious TV drama or film then I will take my words back with no hesitation and gladly apologise but as it stands she is just another pretty actress who is in a 'popular' TV show, she doesn't deserve to be at any award shows yet and thats why she isn't. Just back off from all your comparisons with SMG etc, they are very different actresses, in different age groups and have acheived different things. As fans you should be more supportive of her own career and quit these comparisons. who says that award shows are the place to be seen, as long as she is doing exactly what she wants and is getting as much recognition as she deserves then who cares where she is seen and how popular she is. she is a stunning women but thats all I know her being, award shows and nominations are for more experienced and talented people rather than pretty faces.

Do Golden Globes have influence at all? I know they're a lot of crap award shows that don't get respect. I think the only ones that do get influence are Oscars, Grammy's, Tony's, and maybe Emmy's. I don't think Smallville should win any awards with their writing right now. It could be a lot better, but it doesn't deserve any award.

I think if Kristin want to get in a golden globe then she should get some publicity of sorts. A show over here called the office won 2 golden globes because not only is it funny but it attracts the older audiences. Now Smallville gets some older people watching it as well, but not as much as many of shows out there like 24, Sex and the city and all that. I think Kristin should do a movie role that has quite a lot of publicity in. Not euro trip i don't think that will get many viewers of the older generation and i have doubts whether it will get much vieiwers at all. I say something big if she can get it, like i don't know off the top of my head a bond girl, even superman the film or spider man. something big it only has to be a little part. euro trip is a good idear but it won't make her world reknowned.

Yeah i think you might be right new buck. But it'll all happen when it's supposed to.
