| Somehow that was all really boring. The episode was basically a bunch of choppy loose ends strung together in an extremely messy fashion. Note to Smallville producers: tons of cheesy special effects don't make up for a shoddy episode. And that 24-esque countdown clock was annoying as all heck. The show is terrible, I hope the writers regroup over the summer and get back to basics--instead of writing silly, embarassing fanfics. |

| I didn't thinlk the episode was that bad, in fact I thought it was rather good.....Kristin was pretty good in this, and the rest was good too, apart from the countdown thing. Judging by peoples opinions I think (with the trailers and all) people expect too much from SV.......my advice to them would be ..."don't believe the hype"... As far as the mythos goes that was an excellent episode and I can't wait to see the next one. Fortress of solitude here we come. Lex and Chloe?? & What the hell is that other ship???? good stuff. | Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yeah....that countdown was just extremely cheesey. after watching the first 21 episodes of season four....i wasn't expecting anything from the season finale and it STILL disappointed me. zero expectations coming into it...the only thing i'm glad about, is that it's finally over. *sigh*...whatever though. SV moving to thursday and i hope it'll be the last season. |

| I think the episode was really good, espicially compared to a few of the other episodes this season. they might have left too much for the opening of the next season...but they allways do that,so no big surprise there... anyway, i thought Kristin was great in this episode,i think she showed a great potential for becoming a very good actress, even more than usually ;-P there was even a point were i thought..."wow! she should get an oscar for this one!"...but that's probably just me getting carried away. :-P [ May 21, 2005, 06:25 PM: Message edited by: X-File ] |

| Finally got a chance to see it last night. I thought it was pretty entertaining really. It reminded me of Ben Affleck's Armageddon a few years back. Miller and Gough were able to create some good suspense in anticipation of the big strike. Like Armageddon, a lotta chaos and plot lines but OK overall. Like kodos said, the countdown was such an obvious ripoff of 24 and unnecessary. Both KK and MR had good performances I thought...lex just barely keeping a lid on his frustration and lana maxing out the facial expressions with those unreal eyes. KK also worked hard for that brokenlegged crawl to the crater's edge... pretty realistic scene. Were lana and chloe seein something get out of that ship? |

I didn't get to see the entire thing. I only saw from the part where Lana was crying and then handed a crystal to Clark. ... from then on, the show rocked!!!!!!!!!!!! Ohhh what a cliff hanger of an episode! I am so impressed with it. I'm itching to know what happens next!! Muwaha. I got to see it because I was home sick. ^_^ The final "song" or "tune" they had at the end of the episode rocked. Does anybody know what it was? As far as I can remember there was no words, it sounded like a techno/dance. | |
