EDGEMONT ON DVD

i know some have been wondering about this just a few posts ago. i promised to let you guys know as soon as i found out anything. so here it is goes.

Now, on to DVDs. We are in the process of figuring out a cost for these and how many would sell through this site. There are broadcaster issues that make it neccessary for us to produce only 100- 5 season sets (several of those will be for non-retail uses). We're trying to do these as inexpensively as possible so let me ask y'all this:

Keeping in mind that there will be only about 75 sets available for sale, would those of you who want Edgemont on DVD be willing to pay $100 Cdn. for all 70 episodes?

Let me know here and at feedback@edgemont.tv so we can determine if Edgemont on DVD is gonna happen.
In fact, we can treat this as a pre-pre-order situation. IF you write to me and say you are serious about buying a DVD set I will begin collecting names - first come first serve when/if the DVDs are ready.

Which means about 50 euros in total for an all 5 seasons-set!!! Sure it's a dead cool price !!!

I want to give our Edgemont.tv members a heads-up and the first chance to get your name in for a DVD set before I start putting the information out there on all the fan sites --

All I need are about 75 serious DVD buyers to make this thing happen. There will only be 100 copies made and all transactions will be handled through this site which means you don't have to be able to use PayPal or have a credit card to buy.

You'll be getting all 5 seasons of Edgemont, that's 70 episodes, at cost - $100 CDN (plus shipping). That's less than $1.50 an episode.

Please don't ask for your name to be put on the list if you're not serious about getting a set - but if you are serious then write us at feedback@edgemont.tv and let us know.

If you've already written in or posted on this forum you are on the list. From now on I can only add people who write us at Feedback@Edgemont.tv to the list. Posting here won't get you on the list.

I will wait until the weekend to begin spreading the word about DVDs to other sites. Loyal site members should also be aware that Edgemont begins showing in the U.S in June on the Starz Encore WAM! channel -- which means thousands of new fans are going to start watching Edgemont and will want in on this.

Thanks to everyone who wrote us at feedback@Edgemont.tv and asked to be on the dvd list. We have finally gotten the go ahead to produce 100, exclusive, 8 disk, 5 season, 70 episode dvd sets for only $100 CDN plus mailing/shipping charges. These disks will not be available in stores. The only way to get the real thing will be through this website.

If you got a message from us saying you're on the buyer's list, you're on the buyer's list.

If you got a message from us saying you're on the waiting list, you're on the waiting list (and will move to the buyers list when a buyer decides not to buy).

Buyers: We'll contact you via email when we have a delivery date. At that time we'll ask you to mail us a money order, a certified cheque or to make a wire transfer directly to the bank (all the info on how to do this will be included). We will also tell you what mailing/shipping charges to you will be. Once you've sent payment to cover $100 for the dvds and the shipping charges, we will send you your dvds.

NOTE: $100 CDN converts (roughly) to:
$79.92 U.S.
65.35 Euros
43.80 Pounds
100.30 CHF
8,577.28 YEN

I'd love to own the DVD set......but I'm basically flat broke at the minute. I've just finished uni and I have no job. [img]graemlins/ohwell.gif[/img]

I will own the set one day.

ist july the 4th (god bless not a certain country) and they don't have a release date yet?wow.

It's mail order, so there's no official release date, but Jude said that they will shipped around August 1.
