Atonement Review Thread *SPOILERS*

Well I've finally seen Atonement. The movie EVERYONE on the face of the planet seems to be talking about...

The entire movie felt very rushed to me. What was it? Over two hours long and it felt like an hour to me. Like they were trying to cram in the love between Cecilia and Robbie and wanted you to care about them with hardly anything to go on besides them writing love notes and ****ing in the library. The war scenes were too drawn out for me. To the point where it was boring. I can honestly say I didn't care about their relationship. But don't get me wrong, I'm not a total unfeeling beast. When I saw Cecilia drowned in the tunnel I shed a tear. Mind you a SINGLE tear but still a tear. And I did feel the ending was horribly sad. Don't ask why when I don't care for their relationship at all...maybe it's the death that affected it so much for me.

The crown of the movie, for me, was Briony. She was so interesting. The actresses who played her were also amazing in how they played her. I felt myself feeling sorry for her. Yes, I know I shouldn't. She's supposed ot be the bad guy here...but god...she was going through hell. I doubt she ever married because of it with her last days writes that novel for them...how sweet of her. You have to be able to forgive her. Or maybe it's because I don't care for Robbie and Cecilia at all that I can forgive her....I dunno. Can you guys forgive her?

Glad you got to see it. I most likely will when the dvd comes out

It's already out, mate! Hurry and a get a copy. My job is giving a free set of Atonement postcards with the purchase.
