Keira regrets finding fame early

eira Knightley has said she wishes she could have found fame at a later age so she could have been more outrageous.

The 21-year-old actress told a newspaper that she regrets not being able to enjoy her early 20s without the pressure of the media commenting on her antics.

"It's like you've got to be perfect," she told a showbiz magazine.

"If you're seen falling out of a nightclub, drunk or with bad skin or sweat patches, then you're ripped apart.

"Holding any 20-year-old up as a role model is completely idiotic. I think that's ridiculous."

Keira is currently in Rome filming her new movie Silk.

That's the thing with Keira, she will say one thing in one interview about a particular topic, then say the opposite of what she said about the topic in different interview.

I don't know, I don't really pay attention to what stars say, sometimes I say I hate potatoes and then sometimes i'll say I love them. No big fuss. She's only human.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star, who celebrated her 21st birthday last month (MAR06), shot to fame aged 16 after starring in The Hole And Bend It Like Beckham.

But the Oscar-nominee now regrets hitting the big screen so early in her career.

She reveals, "My father says, 'I wish this could have happened in five years' time, you could have been 20 and got really pissed and slept with loads of people and no-one would have known.' "That would have been great."

Keira planning to quit Hollywood?

Fans of Keira Knightley are advised to overdose themselves on the stunning English actress over the coming months after she dropped a major hint that she could be on her way out of Hollywood.

Speaking to showbiz magazine Eclipse, Keira, 21, admitted the "mad" movie lifestyle is already taking its toll on her and that she sees herself retiring from the big screen in the near future.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star, who received an Oscar nomination for her starring role in last year's Pride and Prejudice, explained that she felt the pressures of keeping in shape for films were detrimental to her health.

"I'm twice the size, height and everything else of most of the other actresses who are going for an audition," the stick-thin star said.

"It's mad, isn't it? When you realise that even at my size I'm one of the largest there.

"It's at the point you start to say: 'I don't think it'd be healthy for me to stay here much longer.'"

And, as if this terrible news wasn't upsetting enough, Knightley then also revealed that she wished fame had actually come her way later on in life so she could have misbehaved more.

"My father says: 'I wish this had happened in five years' time, you could have got really p*ssed and slept with loads of people and no one would have known'," she added.

She's obviously just complaining. That's all it is. She doesn't seem the type to go back to a normal life and not have tons of money. She's even explained before that the reason she takes all the movies given to her is because she's afraid the work will stop coming and that will mean no money.
