Nice leg shot though. I'm sure Sue will probably wear more dresses like this in the sequel when not in the suit. And for those wondering. It's a wig she's wearing. Yeah good wig. looks like the same she used for that one scene in the first.I saw her on the daily 10 yesterday and it was brunnette.

Chiklis is the real Thing

Production has begun in Vancouver on Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, a sequel to last year's Fantastic Four, scheduled to be in theaters on June 15 next year. Michael Chiklis talks with fans at press conference in New York

It's the same cast -- Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Jessica Alba a Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm as Human Torch and Julian McMahon as Doctor Doom -- from the first film, which premieres on HBO on Sunday.

And for Chiklis, it's suit time again. Becoming an orange, rocky monster is no day at the beach, but let's hope reports are true that the Thing suit is more comfortable this time.

Last summer Chiklis called wearing the Thing costume "a little like being in the seventh circle of Hell" and even consulted a psychiatrist to help with the claustrophobia it caused.

The "Fantastic Four" get animated again

For the fourth time, the Fantastic Four, Marvel Comics' venerable first family of comics, is being translated to animation.

The foursome's history in cartoons has been checkered at best. It all started in 1967 with the quaint series from Hanna-Barbera that aired on ABC.

Then came the NBC series in 1978 that included contributions from Stan Lee, Roy Thomas and Jack Kirby but probably is best remembered for the substitution of the Human Torch by H.E.R.B.I.E. the Robot. In 1994, the FF were part of the syndicated Marvel Action Hour, which suffered through a dreadful first season before getting a better-received facelift in its second and final season. The 26 episodes of that show are currently available on DVD.

And now the FF -- buoyed by a successful movie franchise -- are back, getting a new look for their latest 'toon, which debuts Saturday at 8 p.m. on Cartoon Network. - Rob Allstetter

So, have they officially established who the Silver Surfer's being played by? Last I heard they were still mum about it but they had some rumored actors pushing for it.

No it hasn't. But rumour has it its gonna be the guy who played abe sapien in hellboy. so don't expect a big name to play him. But again its just a rumour but don't expect someone like Vin Diesel.

Like i said folks new pics would appear in a few days and they have. There still at the Airport and it Has Sue and Reed kissing. My assumption is Sue is going away on a business deal or something and Reed is there to kiss her and see her off well til lshe gets back. Sorry there's no full face shots of her. Only side shots. Ioan Gruffold currently has the best job in hollywood. Pretending to be Jessica Alba's Onscreen Fiance/Husband and a perk he get's to kiss her. And for that i appauld this welshmen for this. He's livng the american and he's not even american. lol. Others i'm sure to come later on then.

What do you mean he does not age well? It's probably the more grey they put in his side burns. well i nthe comics reed is a certain amount of years older tha Sue.

I hope this thread doesn't ruin the movie by the time it comes out.

I think the guy looks a lot older than he did in the last movie too. Even if he's supposed to be older than Sue, what's the age split supposed to be? Right now, he looks like a 45 year old dude talking to his 30 year old eye candy, to me, lol.

The actor playing reed is only 33 while Jessis 25. i think its the hair thats making everyone think he;s older.

and this is suppose to be a few years later.

Garrett, Braugher cast in "Fantastic Four" sequel

Tuesday October 3 3:01 PM ET


Beau Garrett and Andre Braugher have been cast in "Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer," a sequel to the 2005 box office hit.

Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis are reprising their roles as super! heroes in Fox's adaptation of the long-running Marvel comics series.

Shooting is under way in Vancouver. Tim Story is directing. He also shot "The Fantastic Four," which grossed $156 million at the domestic box office.

Garrett will play Frankie Raye, a scientist and love interest to Evans' character. In the comic she eventually gains super powers. Braugher will play a general with the responsibility to capture the Silver Surfer, which will be a computer-generated creation.

Garrett appeared as a sexy love interest in "Entourage" and makes her feature debut in Fox Atomic's upcoming "Turistas," opposite Josh Duhamel. Braugher is coming off his Emmy win for his performance in FX's "Thief."
