| c/o news.worldfitness.ca/news By Ty Adams Although Jessica Alba is one of the hottest stars in Hollywood, she will be the last to admit she’s a sex symbol In Hollywood there aren’t many more female physiques more striking than that of Fantastic Four star Jessica Alba. At the age of 25, Alba has taken Hollywood by storm. With her breakthrough role as the sexy star of the hit TV show Dark Angel, Alba has been showing off her sexy physique ever since. However, knowing you are a sex symbol, and trying to draw attention to it are two different things said Alba speaking to the Calgary Sun on the set of the raunchy romantic comedy Good Luck, Chuck, in which she plays an accident-prone penguin specialist. "That's stuff I never put any effort into it. It's just what it is," said Alba. Yet wether she “tries” to our not, wearing tight outfits and swimming in bikini does tend to draw a bit of attention. So is fitness important to her? While talking to the media on the set of Sin City, Alba said she worked out because its healthy. “I workout anyway just because it's healthy to workout, and women have health problems, especially in my family, and so I just work- out just to be healthy anyway.” Yet for the young actress who often down plays her beauty, she admitted in a 2005 interview with Glamour Magazine, she once had an eating disorder. "A lot of girls have eating disorders, and I did too. I got obsessed with it. When I went from a girl's body to a woman's body with natural fat in places, I freaked out. It makes you feel weird, like you're not ready for that body." Eating disorders aside, Jessica Alba is among a select few Hollywood starlets who have the physique to wear a bikini or do a striptease on film. Most actress would rather choose to thrown in a “bum” double than put in the hard work to get in shape for a role. Perhaps the most beautiful feature of Jessica Alba is how humble she is with both her physical attributes and her success. |

| I think she meant she doesn't dwell on it. It's kinda like when someone calls you a shallow jerk or something. You can either nod your head and say "interesting you feel that way" and move on w/your life or try to mold yourself around their comments to help them see you differently. Obviously, every woman enjoys people seeing her as beautiful but those are the comments you shouldn't spend time fishing for. I'd love for people to say that to me now that I'm in the best shape I've ever been in but, like her, my family's genes are such I do it for the necessity, not the vanity of it (and let me tell ya', you can't FIGHT your genes, Jess!!). | I think even if she did try to fight her genes her immune system would destroy any would be feeble attempts at making her ugly. Some people just have it and others don't. She obviously has "it". cheers Last edited by Lobo; 08-30-2006 at 08:52 AM.. |

| It's nice she puts it on a lower level of priority and then goes to events like the one the girl that played Original Cindy put on promoting positive physical role models etc. for young women. I've always thought women are too hard on each other when it comes to physique issues. Coming from her own body image issue past, it's also nice to see she's using that experience as a positive learning experience for herself and others out there. But, I guess I won't complain if people think she's still hotter than all other women since it IS true after all... |
