| Swedish chef ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Jessica Alba Recalls Good Deed 06/08/06 Jessica Alba's proudest moment came when she was just seven - when she helped a bullied boy learn how to swim. The actress recalls saving the kid from a group of bullies, who were diving on top of him at her local swimming pool, and then teaching him the 'doggie paddle.' Alba, a self-confessed "expert swimmer", tells MTV News, "Everyone jumped on top of him - it was like this game of, 'Let's jump on top of the kid that can't swim.' He was drowning. I saved him and I pulled him out (of the water). He had tears coming out of his eyes and he was choking. "My biggest accomplishment was getting him back in the water because my mom was like, 'Once you get kicked off the horse, you get right back on that saddle ...' and he got back in the water and I taught him how to doggie paddle ... My mom gave me bonus points for that one." Source |

| Senior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I remember this one time I was by the pool at a hotel in Las Vegas and some idiot was throwing coins from the hotel into the pool. Unfortunately, a nickel struck me in the head and I started bleeding. I was taken to first aid where they patched me up. The hotel staff caught the jerk throwing the coins and kicked him out. Luckily, I didn't get a chance to see him. Otherwise I'd throw punches instead of coins. Last edited by yanjonm : 06-08-2006 at 08:32 PM. |

| That's why my child's going to swim lessons ASAP like I did. One problem I've always had w/water is not being able to open my eyes in it, salt or fresh water. The other one being I'm just now getting interested in being around beaches again as, before, I was usually the chubby guy at the beach and, as a young'n, kids aren't exactly the nicest to chubby kids at beaches even if they can swim. The psychological damage of that is now just beginning to wear off as I realize I'm literally not that kid anymore. |
