Guess I was partially right in that I expected her to start expanding her horizons into new and, maybe, more quiet projects to prove her abilities.

Also with Paranoid. Both IMO were pretty Good.

Good move to do a more artsy type of movie. The jeanie movie i had a feeling would be horrible and might have put a hault to her rising star.

As long as she doesn't do REALLY artsy movies like Vanilla Sky or Closer. I had a gun barrel in my mouth watching those stinkers. You know what would be REALLY cool? If she showed up on the next Project Greenlight, even though she's probably out of their salary range at this point. Maybe Eliza Dushku would do it? As long as they don't go Stolen Summer for the next one, anyway.

I really enjoyed it. Though its hard to se her doing any love scenes, i still keep saying "dont touch him, you'll give him the virus!!!"

It looks like "Awake" is the name of the new movie:

The Weinstein Co. and GreeneStreet Films have signed Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four, Sin City) and Hayden Christensen ("Star Wars" prequels) to star in psychological thriller Awake, reports Variety.

The two companies are co-financing the film, which will be the directorial debut of Joby Harold, who also wrote the script.

The story focuses on a man (Christensen) who suffers "anesthetic awareness" and finds himself awake and aware, but paralyzed, during surgery. His young wife (Alba) must wrestle with her own demons as a drama unfolds around them.

"This film will do to surgery what 'Jaws' did to swimming in the ocean," promised producer Joana Vicente.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting in October in New York.

I agree, I would much rather see her in a lead role like Jeannie than play a bit part as a zombie that any actress looking to break in could get.....

Hmm I don't know too much about this new movie to think it will be "Vanilla-Skyish". However, if it is...ummm...yeah NOT a good thing. That movie sucked! The "inner-demons" is a bit worrying I agree...but there has to be some sort of mystery or else it will be a dull story with just having a wife looking over her husband in hospital.

Maybe she's really dead too....seems to be the usual ending to some of these movies...time will tell though.

Definitely going to require more research before we say anymore about it. I actually was way off base on what Into the Blue was about apparently. For some strange reason, maybe it was her Flipper background, I thought it was going to be a kids movie of some sort. Evidently, accordingly to the first trailer I saw on TV last night, it's going to be a thriller about her and Walker finding treasure that belongs to someone else? It looked like a thriller anyway, which I had no idea it was going for which is good, I'm more interested in it now.

Dunno bout it being a thriller, but it is gonna be actionish, thats for sure. Dunno what exactly it will be, but it wont be for kids and I'm seeing it for her. [img]smile.gif[/img]
