jessica is making "maxim" sell big

i just read this and i thought it was cool. there was an article on another web site that was talking about non-porno guy mags. they interviewed a guy working at a store who was in charge of the mags, and he was talking about how last months issue w/ gina gershon on the cover didn't do to well, but when the new issue with jessica came out, it started flying off the shelves. i'll try to post a link later.

i didnt realise that they had a different maxim for us and uk, so when i got to my shop and saw kirsty gallagher on the front of maxim i was a bit disappointed. :(

Yeah well I don't know about that last part. I thought people had forgotten about her, but maybe not since these issues are selling so well. Is it because people already know who she is and want to check out the issue or is it because she just looks that much hotter even if she was a nobody ?

Hopefully this will get some more people in the industry to notice that she has "star power" and get her a few more roles. She's only 22... long career ahead of her... I hope.

I don't think people are really buying it because she's an actress. Face it people could care less about acting skills especially with starlets(there's a big difference btw an actual actress and a starlet btw), Alba does have a name to sum extent atleast when compared to Gina who I didn't have the slightest idea who she was until my cousin showed me a movie with her, she's not that attractive anyways.

A cover-shoot pictorial doesn't have anything to do with acting skills or performance at all, i'm sure you're well aware of that as you're aware of why people are BUYING THEM *wink*, Briteny probably sells alot of issues for Rolling Stone, does it mean she's a good artist, HELL NO! But most of this magz are pretty *available* so any 16yr old teenage going through puberty and experimenting has access to them, rest is history as they say. Case in point when I got my copy of Hewitt's Rolling Stone cover. Do you think a 32 yr old checking that mag actually follows on her LOL or even cares about her music/acting. If indeed that's the case I would suggest other alternatives. SH!

The magazines have even created a new class of celebrity - such as Electra - who have no discernable talent other than posing for the provocative shots. But not all the models are looking for a career boosts, as Oscar winner Berry's appearance on FHM shows.

Anyways I got my issue today, i'm kinda dissapointed they didn't include my *favorite pic*(the one I posted in the other thread, what a miss!)but the full page one's are alright. I'm kinda lucky I get them for free, + my wish for a "backup" mag got solved when I was walking along the street with my cousin and noticed there was a "mag" on the floor which looked awfully familiar, it was the new Maxim, I rushed down to my mailbox and my copy was there 2!
