I actually love that Alba has a no-nudity clause because that would cheapen her image a lot more than it already is (with all the bikini-shoots in mags). I really wonder what her reason for having it is though. She's said it's because she can't imagine being seen that way, especially with future kids and all. She's also mentioned her dad and how weird it would be. But is that it ? How far do you think self-respect goes ? It's obvious it's not about the money otherwise this "struggling-to-make-it-big" actress would've done it already.

What I think it is ... we know she really doesn't have any inhibitions about her body... I think she LIKES playing the tease ... and I don't really mind.

Actually, I think she may have some secret inhibitions about her image. In the Marie Claire article she talks about how working out is a pain in the butt and she only does it because it makes her feel a little better about herself. My wife's a psych graduate and she's always said those women that are out there, open, wild and crazy usually have the greatest insecurities. It also is evidenced by the fact that she seems to latch onto one guy hot and heavy quickly. Has she ever really been single for a long time? Maybe I'm wrong.

I think she's comfortable w/her image for the most part, isn't crazy-worried about it, but it takes a ton of courage to be neud in front of a camera and I'm not sure she's that uninhibited which is part of her charm: subdued shyness and innocence.

She never gets nude, and it is her image...
But it is not because of her dad or something

yea, i think she likes being a tease, and i wouldn't change the way she is. Nudity is just not part of her image, and i dont think it would ever be.

I heard this theory on the Sleeping Dictionary once the MTV awards pics surfaced (and looked similar):

She actually was the one in the film that did the nudity. She just said that it was a double so that her dad/etc wouldn't freak out.

Sure enough, IMDB doesn't list a double. Hmm.
