*Official* I saw Fantastic Four discussion thread

Opens nation-wide tomorrow but reviews from critics have been harsh so far. Audiences have been known to disagree. I'll take a wait and see approach on this one, but I fear the worst at this point.

Let us know what you thought of it after you see it... but keep the spoilers out or clearly marked beforehand.

Im going to see it today becouse it opens on day before in Puerto Rico ... :D

I know its going to be a great movie...i dont care what reviews say..im going tonight

I had the chance to see a free screening at a NYC theatre tonight but since it costs me $17 back and forth in train fare to get there, it's really not free for me anyway. I'll just go see it with the wife for $20 this weekend or the next.

Every Alba fan ..just go and watch the movie..becouse she LOOKS AMO HOTZ!! EG ATTOTAL!!!

no really...good movie ..i loved chris evans ..funny guy.Prepare for some laughs and a good time.The movie delivers fun for all ages.Its far from fantastic but it does a great job for a comic book movie.I know the movie is gonna flop in reviews but its a good family movie. Its loyal to the Fantastic 4 main idea of a family with a lot of problems and how they work together as a team .Some nice acting by Alba and some bra and pantis jump my score from B to A+++++ [img]graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]

have fun with the movie becouse i did..just don't go expecting an Oscar winner and you wont be dissapointed ;)

Just saw it , it was great . Better than Electra .....not even in the same scope actually. I was surprised by how good it was , this is one of the all time great comic book movies they said couldn't be done. If you get a chance to see the unreleased 90's movie .........don't fall asleep it is very boring,and bad . You can see why no one wanted to do this movie untill now . the special effects alone were worth it. Jessica Alba looked great and showed her acting chops you actually believe she is on the screen when she is invisable.

I just got back seeing it myself. Super good movie. Special effects were VERY good. Now it makes me wanna reread my dads old comics(yes he has the first up to #170). Great stuff and Jess played the character pretty well.

It stunk to me only thing good were some caution some of Chris Evens jokes and Christian from Nip/Tuck.

I just came back from it... now I'll first say I'm not a fan of comic book movies because "superpowers" are cheezy to me and I think it comes across as cheezy with real life characters doing it. I was surprised at how it turned out though, not as bad as the critics make it out to be... the effects were decent.

I think Alba could've done slightly better acting but not terrible nor deserved to be called a "bad actress". She looked awesome too. A lot of people seem to like it as an entertaining movie, which was all it was, nothing more... that much is clear if you saw it. The audience in our theatre actually clapped at the end.

I just came home from it. I thought the special effects were great and well done. Jessica looked fine as usual, especially in the bra and pannies scene. I love how she wore a lot of low cut shirts, which also proved more that she is a tease. The plot was kinda cheesy though. but overall it was pretty good

POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT (I ASSUMED THIS WHOLE THREAD WAS)

Movie Tickets: $19.75
Large popcorn and 2 medium drinks: $19.00
Seeing Invisible Woman forget how to stay invisible while stripped down to her bra and panties: Priceless (a close 2nd was the seen where Reed's working on the reversal chamber and she turns up in a low cut blouse and blue sweater)

Really, special effects were cool but they could have done more w/Doom. His character was cool but the plot was basically, "I'm going to kill the heroes." No world domination, destruction of a city etc.? C'mon, I could have written a more creative script. They could have at least let Jess be the center of his pain/anger.

It was just pure entertainment for me. You definitely can't go in thinking about any Oscar-level type of acting or story.

I thought it was funny for the most part. I went and saw it with non-JA fans and they enjoyed it for what it was.

Also since it was filmed in Vancouver, did anyone notice all the ex-DA cast in it? There's a few. Rachel's dad in the Berrisford Agenda ep and the scrap-metal dump owner from Borrowed Time ep for 2.

I just read on yahoo news that the Fantastic Four was the top selling movie in North American for this last weekend, grossing more than 56 million dollars.

Not bad at all considering the reviews were so poor.

56million is Huuuge. Most experts were saying it might do 30mill. This is very good for jessica.

I saw and loved this movie i think its the best movie JA has done yet.i loved the action and like sum one said be4 its great for any age so if u havent seen it yet...GO SEE IT!!
i have NO idea y the critics are giving it bad reveiws... i guess they are jealous lol im jk but i liked it i liked the diffrent feels to it like the comedy feel and than the emotion feel and yea and the kick a$$ feel too it lol. well i loved this movie

I was gonna see it last sunday but my dad took me to WoW instead. WoW was a good movie if you haven't seen it yet you should. I WANNA SEE F4 :(

I have seen both, wow and F4(on 14 july). And i must say that wow sucked, F4 was better but it wasn't good. It was an OK movie. I thought sin city was a much better movie of JA.
