To boost its rebranding efforts, the brewery has enlisted Hollywood star Jessica Alba in a new Tiger commercial, which was shot on location in New Zealand.

It starts airing in Singapore later this week.

Said Ms Alba, "I had Tiger beer before. It's good and the commercial seems funny. It's a play on celebrity a bit. There is no reason why it shouldn't expand out of Singapore."

The global rebranding of Tiger begins here, with the multi-million dollar commercial featuring Ms Alba.

Asia Pacific Breweries hopes that this ad, to be aired in Singapore first, will propel the Tiger brand to its next phase of growth.

It doesn't look like it's available online, at least not yet.

here is the deal (why I am so ignorant in this case)

when I was about 12 one of my "friends" smuggled some alcohol

I drank about two cans and I got hooked, long story short is that I started to move on to harder stuff, heroine, crack, E, speed, all that crap,

eventually I gave up on my self and started to cut myself up and I ODed on heroine once

I had to go to a rehab clinic which did not help I just wanted to kill myself, now I am twenty one, recovering slowly (I should have been dead)

sometimes the addiction kicks in and I give in and cut myself.

I have redirected my negatives.

Well it's not like that for everyone.

Personally, I'd love to see her take up the role as the Saint Pauli Girl. Their beer sales would skyrocket even if she only did it temporarily. And she'd look so hot in that outfit.

could not agree more

there is something very positive about Jessica and she shines when she does so.

In my point of view, a lot of teenage girls may consider Alba as a role model probably because of the role she played in Honey. I'm pretty sure a great percentage (I may be wrong though) of the people who saw that movie were teenagers (14-18 let's say) who are most likely into Hip-Hop dance and so forth. By setting her point across, "you can accomplish whatever you want if you believe in yourself," she may have had more fans that are teenage girls due to that movie... That's how I look at it ;)

Yea, agree [img]smile.gif[/img] , it seems like she is allways wants role where she is a charecter that is going its own way, and do what she believes in. Im not sure, but maybe this is something that reflects on Jessica when she struggled to be an actor?
