A Source: Dark Angel Is Dead

My source has just emailed me and said "Dark Angel" has been vaulted by Fox, meaning that nothing more beyond what's already been done with the series and the novels will be done. He also reports that the show was too expensive to produce, the storylines were too complex to be understood and too gloomy, and the show was too big of a mess for everybody involved.

Plus, Jessica Alba got hurt doing the action sequences and objected to the long working hours. And James Cameron said that the show was really nothing more than an experimental concept anyway. So DA is gone. But there is a chance he and Jessica could work together again on a big-screen adaptation of "Battle Angel Alita" or "Cybersix", two shows which are similar to DA but not as difficult to make.

"Dark Angel" was also better suited for the 80's rather than today especially when audiences are looking for less violent and more simpler concepts.
