| i found this at tvguide.com. ----------------------------------------- DARK ANGEL GETS INVISIBLE: Jessica Alba is getting back her superpowers. The Dark Angel alum has been cast as the Invisible Girl in the action drama Fantastic Four, 20th Century Fox's adaptation of the Marvel Comics classic. Alba rounds out the crime-stopping quartet, which includes Ioan Gruffudd as Mr. Fantastic, Chris Evans as The Human Torch and Michael Chiklis as The Thing. ----------------------------------------- i heard the rumors that she was being cast in the film. im glad to know they were true. also, i have to agree with OX. if she isnt visible, her fans should boycott the film. | Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() | I hope these sites are right, there is another site that says Sarah Wynter is the Invisible woman. But I've seen more sites, and more reliable sites, saying Jessica has been cast for the role. Don't worry guys the Invisible Woman isn't invisible all the time, otherwise it would be voice only. Hopefully she won't be invisible too much during the movie. [ July 14, 2004, 11:31 AM: Message edited by: @lbaholic ] |

| Wow, she got it! Just read the news at some comic news sites(yes, I'm a comic geek, but I'm also a Jessica Alba Fan!) I was thinking she wouldn't get it just because she looks nothing like Sue and wouldn't know how they would pull off her being related to Johny. I'm glad she got it though. She automatically brings a very large built in fan base to this movie. Plus, the movie carries with it some clout since it's a marvel product and will pull in the fans for at least the first weekend. The cast in front of the camera have the acting chops to pull this off. But I'm worried about the crew behind the lens. This director is anything but great, and they already aren't getting as big of a budget as the X or spidey films. I'm hoping they don't just have Jessica playing Damsel in distress Sue from the early years of the FF. I want Sue to be the kick butt Sue from the later years. Sue is the strongest member of the FF and has taken on foes like the Silver Surfer and Thor all by herself. Those invisible forcefields(why don't they just call it Telekinesis?) work wonders.
