"The 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards" Will Be Telecast Live on NBC Monday, January 16

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/05/2006 -- Jessica Alba, Emmy Rossum, John Travolta and Denzel Washington have been set as presenters at "The 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards" to be telecast live on NBC Monday, January 16 (8 - 11:00 p.m. EST) at The Beverly Hilton. They join previously announced presenters Leonardo DiCaprio, Harrison Ford, Jamie Foxx, Natalie Portman, and Emma Thompson.

Anthony Hopkins will receive this year's Cecil B. DeMille Award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for his "outstanding contribution to the entertainment field."

"The Golden Globe Awards" will be seen in more than 150 countries worldwide and is one of the few awards ceremonies that span both television and motion picture achievements.

"The 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards" will be produced by **** clark productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Philip Berk is President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Allen Shapiro and Barry Adelman are executive producers. Chris Donovan is director. Al Schwartz is consulting producer. Ken Shapiro is producer. Ron Weed is co-producer.

It's tough watching these hollywood people patting themselves on the back, mostly for movies that none of us saw. Hopefully she'll be on early in the show before I start to dose off.

These awards shows are so BS. How many awards do actors give themselves each year between the Oscars, Golden Gloves, SAG, and on and on? I was listening to Michael Savage last night (AM political talk guy that's really down to earth and politically neutral) review a few of the movies that got awards and laughing. He tore apart that Heath Ledger gay cowboy movie so expertly and the runner up award was one called Trans-America about transsexuals. I think they were the SAG Awards nominees. It was hillarious.

It's great to see Jess but I don't think I want to boost their ratings even for her.
