Even though she's listed in the winners column, they still find a way to slam her: Winner: Jessica Alba Sure, she can't act, but Alba's sex appeal in "Sin City" and "Fantastic Four" proved that people will show up to watch her. And the almost soft-core porn "Into the Blue" arrived on DVD just in time for Christmas. |

| into the blue looks interesting because it is filmed underwater. i would probably see it anyway even if alba wasn't in it. and her acting is not that bad either. thats just a bad rap she gets that she can't get rid of. i guess some actors just get typecasted no matter what. cheers |

| It's almost become a business to defend her ability around here. I still maintain she's more than t-n-a despite what those eeeeediots think. As for ITB, I bought it and wouldn't exactly classify it as soft core porn (I've seen enough of THAT to know the difference-did I just say that out loud? ). But, I would say the storyline was fairly weak overall. Like I said, the true love thing really stretches the limits of rationale w/the beater boat, truck, and clothes of P-Dubya's. I think they could've approached it in a waaaay more interesting way. When I saw the previews I was thinking it was going to be a thriller-type where they took this stuff and then started being stalked by the original owners, kind of like I Know what you did last summer, only from a non-horror view as it'd be real guys w/guns after them. In reality terms, I'd say her sexiness does sell a lot but once she proves more range through her variety in project choices, I think she'll start to earn more cred. If only the interviewers could follow by asking real questions and stop feeding the sex pipeline all the time w/their choices. |

| The interviewers make me more angry than the critics when it comes to her. I am more personally interested in learning more about her interests, personality, etc. than the superficial questions they usually ask like "So what was it like to dance on a pole half-naked?" Clearly deep thinkers are not popular in the media. |
