just saw into the blue it was amasing worth the 2 year wait i had to go through, knew about it right when jess was added to the cast and that was about 2 years ago or maybe it just felt that much its gotta be around there though anyway back to what i was saying i saw it i got tickets from a local radio station for a screening in Portland, Oregon. i went it was packet no seats were left i barely got through they cut the line right behind me movie was better then i thought it was going to be better then Fantastic Four i think but hey thats just me. ohhh her body in this guys its amazing.... movie gots its funny parts in the begining then gets all dramatic as it goes on i aint going to spoil it for ya guys ull just have to wait the 2 days till it comes out or whenever it comes out where u live

Unless I go myself I may be waiting for the DVD arrival. It looks interesting, though. I'm scheduled to get Paranoid on my netflix list probably next week so maybe that will pacify me for a little while.

only ones i dont have and want is Flipper i cant find the one shes in anywhere except in like english subtitles and stuff and sleepin dictionary its such a great movie err just havent had the time or money to buy it

I guess we can make this the official "I saw Into the Blue" thread.

Anyway, box office numbers are in for this one... it came in 5th place @ $7mil. Not surprising, but 5th place is a long way down.

Heh, Flightplan still staying strong huh? Overall good movie, IMO... The trailers of ITB look entertaining, so I'm expecting it to be "at least" average when I see the movie most likely during the week or the weekend. Critics are really making the movie seem not too good but whatever, I pay no mind to the critics, I believe they over exaggerate.

Huuge dissapointment. Nobody was excepecting $30mill. But $7 mill is bad. I hope this doesn't hurt her rising star much. I also thought it was dumb they delayed this movie for so long. THen didn't release it in the summer.

Never, ever believe what the critics say about movies, ever!!! They're a bunch of idiots who merit movies based on some bizarre calculation that makes really crappy movies appear wondrous a la The English Patient and Vanilla Sky. I'd rely more on what you hear from fans of genres such as you find here in the forum first.

I agree that they're some uptight people who have a checklist in front of them when rating movies. I picture them as a bunch of old fogies who think the deeper or more profound a movie is, the better. What happened to good old fashioned entertainment where things actually happen visually and you don't have to rely on every last word the actor says ? It's too bad there are movie-goers who are just like these checklist people.

i saw it saturday. pretty unbelievable plot, as in i can't really buy much of it. not a very good film. still though, jess was mint.

first half hour the best.

I've always thought there should be two schools of critics: those that go to Sundance festivals, and those that actually go to the movies on a regular basis (i.e. real fans). There's a time and place for judging potential Oscar competitors but for all the ordinary movies, I've always been of the mind they should use re-use test audiences to judge what the finished version of the film looks like for success because people like you guys and myself will ultimately determine if the money makes cash moooney.

Actually they do that already. Some movies go back to re-edit or even change the endings based on test audiences. That's what movie studios use them for.

I finally saw the movie... Alba did her best acting job in this one. Loved her as the convincing straight-shooter / honest / caring gf.

Reminds me of her Dark Angel days when she nailed a part so well. And this time she wasn't even the lead role.

The movie itself... the acting was good, comedic situations, awesome shots/camerawork. They did everything well - I just don't think the plot and being in the water for most of the movie is intriguing enough. It felt dragged out too.

Just finished seeing the movie and it wasn't bad at all although in the theater, there was at least a total of 10-12 people which I thought was really odd. The acting was fairly decent, Alba herself did an ok job and I really thought the visuals were great. Please ignore the critics, the majority of them are idiots who have no idea what they're talking about. Overall, if I were to "grade" the movie, I'd give it a B... Pretty intense ending as well, IMO, average movie. But of course, improvements could have been done...

I felt Jess wasn't really in it enough and that she should have had more screen time. But overall, her acting was pretty decent. I can't wait till her next movie comes out.

God, I hate Paul Walker because he makes out with Jess constantly...asdfknadfn!!!
