Jessica uses a body double in 'The Sleeping Dictionary' because she feels she shouldn't have to put herslef out there like that. She wants to be respected as an actor, not for her body. Although she does have a great body, I don't blame her for not wanting to do nude scenes.

The are scenes in Dark Angel which clearly show her acting abilities. Obviously, general recognition (by the stuffy critical community) will not come until she does some dramatic depressing movie that nobody goes to see like Jennifer Connelly in The House of Sand and Fog. She's good and getting better all the time.

Im not saying she's a bad actor. (Im also not saying she's good) but she needs a big time drama flick to get her on the map.

Everytime I click a 'Jessica nude' thread I'm disappointed...

Where is the difference between her nude or a body double nude. People normally don't recognise it and think that the star is the nude one.
Using a body double as an excuse is pretty lame.
Nevertheless, in some movies nude scenes are essential in some they are only cheap.

VH-1's 100 hottest hotties made it seem that Jessica didn't use a double. If she uses a double its cuz she doesn't feel its necessary. Her body is killer. She don't need of f'ing double. She's a good actor. But if she's so good she should land a super great movie. As much as I Love her she needs to land a hot movie. But who cares. She'll be fine. I don't kf you've noticed, but Jessica is recoginzed ever she goes, you may he's a bad actor, but if she was, she'd never be recognized & admired, so obviosly she's done something right. Any true Jessica Alba fan would appreciate her for who she is and her acting abilities, not whether or not the movie she picked was good, everyone makes mistakes. We can't all be perfect.

Alba isnt know for her acting ability. That's pretty obvious. Everybody knows her by her killer body. I doubt there are many people that admire her because of her acting.

I think shes a great actor , kinda young and not really mature even tho she pretends to be but she defenelty has talent .
And if it was a body double , it was her clone cuz even the hand seems to be jess's , not that i watched the sequence a hundred times but im a very observative person.

I started watching her cause of her acting...I had gotten all of the episodes from Xena cause I had really gotten into the action and storyline and it became my 2nd favorite show at the time. My parents saw the stuff about Dark Angel and were like...Watch he's going to do the same thing he did with all the Xena stuff...get everything. Never new Dark Angel had a chance to come out on DVD till it did and it was always my favorite and that's why I got both seasons and some collectibles. I checked her biography and saw her films and started to look for them and watch them. She is a really good actress in my opinion and yes she is beautiful...she just is all around...I love her smile and how pretty she is but that's just icing on the cake for me. She does a great job in her movies..some better than others of course but that's what got me interested in her and interested in all the talk shows and appearances she's in now. :cool: Of course that could be just me or there might be others out there that feel the same but for me she is a great actress :cool:
