Do you like her movies

Most of movies she acts in are garbage! Exept for Honey... (and may be flipper) all the rest are horrible! Well I love Jessica very much and i whatch every film she atcs in, BUT i would never whatch them if jessica wasnt there...

Fantastic Four is stupid movie...

Why Does Jessica always act in so bad films?
Cant she act in good , fine movie which is deserving her?

2.Sin City is one of my favorites movies ever
3.Let her grow ..she haves a lot of time for movies..2005 is going to be great for her and ppl are going to notice her more ..and I hope she appears in the upcoming Sin City movies

Jessica is so incredibly hot, it's hard for her to get any sort of decent scripts. It's like she says in the Rolling Stone article- she's always getting scripts that start out like, "She's naked in the shower, water pouring over her perky, young breasts".

She'll get better parts with time. Strangely enough, I think her best acting performance may be in FF4. We'll have to see.

Jessica's just being type-cast right now like she mentioned in the Rolling Stone interview. I think what she needs, as much as I hate them for the most part, is an indie flick where she can show some range. You can tell she has the range to play both good and bad girl. Now she has to work at serious roles. I mean, seriously, she could have easily done Portman's role in Closer and gotten the Oscar the same as crappy as that movie was.

Maybe a psycho roll like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction once she gets older, right now it'd end up too much like Swimfan. Give her time. Once her star shines bright enough over LA she'll start getting offers befitting her talent.

Hey!

As you say movies... I just noticed only yesterday that she is in Never been kissed. It was a total shock, after having seen her act in Dark Angel it has been a real shock for me to see her dress and act like a barbie doll. But it was fun!

She's one of the best actresses we have at the moment. I hope we'll see her in a lot of good movies soon!!

Well first off you can't say anything about F4 because you haven't seen it yet. From the previews i've seen it looks like it's going to be a good movie.

As for her other movies. I've enjoyed them.

Never been kissed: Just a small part but it was a good movie. And she did an Excellent Job.

Idle Hand: Really liked this one. Very funny.

Paranoid: Her first Staring role. And IMO very Underrated. SHe did a really good job and the story was creepy and.. just weird...which was the point.

Sleeping Dictonary: Again she did a good job though her accent was a little rough. A period piece that dragged a little to long. But Had a very real feel to it. all in all a good movie.

Honey: Now this movie was way corny at times. But it really is a throw back type of movie. Very much like the dance movies from the 80's. Anybody that remembers those movies could appreciate Honey. Not Great but an Ok movie. And Jessica can dance her ass off.

Sin City:Haven't seen it yet so can't judge it. But from what others have told me it's a great movie.

Ive seen F4!

It's like all "superhero" movies... Jessica looks great in it and she tryed to do her best... but if there was another actress , this film would never attracted me...

Since this is a while after F4 was made, just reporting in to say I've seen it and thought it wasnt the coolest movie ive ever seen, but I had a blast watching it. Just a fun flick to go see w/ a couple of friends and leave the theater feeling alot better than when u went in. Overall very nice movie

Sin City was AMAZING!! The neo-black and white was very well done and the story was top-notch. She also did a great job as Nancy, it's a shame though that shes not written in much (if at all) in Frank miller's other books so I dont know what will happen to her if they make a sequal. But you cannot say that movie didn't ROCK!

Other movies are all meh, but they weren't supposed to be Big hits. I actually enjoyed honey (despite the cornyness at times) but I didnt pay the 8 bucks to see it in a theater so maybe i was easier on it.

Looking forward to her next movies, I plan on seeing them not just for her, but because her past movies have gotten better and better.

Oh and on a side note, dunno what u think about it but as far as TV goes, dark angel kicked, she had that character down and the show was just amazing.

because the director wants to get people by looks and not intellectual, thus utilising her body to reap in the tickets.

Dark angel was the only role she was adapted to properly because james cameron was specifically lokking for someone like jessica to play the character and put a lot of thought into the development of her character.

so far there are no good movies shes been in.

Depends on what you are classifying as a "good" movie. If you're looking for something original, Hollywood has nothing to offer. If you're looking for something the Oscar people may like, give her time as these big budget movies could help her move into that which is what we're excited about. If you're looking for artsy fartsy Indie flicks, she could go that route next much to my dismay. If you're looking for a movie that makes money, which I think is the bottom line, and gets her exposed to the masses, she's already there.

Unfortunately, Hollywood is obsessed w/looks. Look at how nasty they are to women. Kate Winslet's supposedly fat (Ha! She's awesome!) and when women do get skinny like Lindsay Lohan, they start asking if they're on something or have a problem. It's hard for women to get good roles because of all this and the director issues you mentioned so just sit back and give our girl time, I'm sure she'll have more doors open soon enough. In the meantime, TRY to enjoy our company here as fans of hers.

True they have given her roles due to her looks, but she has played them well (shes a great actor for a 24 year old, give her time) and I'd have to say that some of the movies she's been in have been awesome (read my post, F4 was soso, Sin City was AMAZING!)

And of course they pic her because of her looks, though I'm sure it helps that she CAN act, though she's not the best yet.

Most of us love Jessica Alba, but to be honest, I don't think she's been that great in her movies. The only one that I enjoyed very much was "Sin City". It's a great film with a great story. At first I went to see it 'cause she was in it, but it easily became one of my favorites. The problem is that her role is not that impressive. Other actors took most of the screen time. I'm not here to bash her at all, I just hope that in the future she gets better roles. Hollywood's messed up in the fact that it's kind of like Tony Montana of Scarface said life is:

First, you get the facial recognition
Then, you get the money
Then, when you get that you get the power to choose your roles
Then, you get the women... er, in her case it'd be the Oscar I assume

Give her time. Not everyone goes straight to Oscar like Hollywood's darlings, you know.
