| Crazy About Jim...so cute ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ghost Whisperer Producers Spill on Their Scariest Episode Yet Hi everyone, So now you know the plot twist for "Til Death Do Us Start"! From the comments that you've posted, it seems this episode had you guessing right 'til the very end. Special thanks to co-executive producer Mark B. Perry for writing such a terrific story. (BTW: Have any of you checked out his cool antiques store, M & M Antiques, that he just opened—we have reason to believe that some of the things are H-A-U-N-T-E-D! Just in time for Halloween.) Next up is an episode written and directed by Ghost Whisperer creator John Gray, which is the scariest episode yet! We peak inside Jim's new career as doctor at the hospital—lots of ghost-related activity going on in that Grandview medical facility. Also, this summer we told you that Delia was going to start dating again— this is the episode where she boldly gets back into the dating game and you won't believe what happens. We're constantly reading your posts and we're thrilled to learn that you've noticed all the detail paid to Melinda's wardrobe. Hats off to Costume Designer Dorothy Amos and Jennifer Love Hewitt! To JLoveFan, JenniferLoveFan-x, and Rodney D. Rat: As you've noticed, Melinda wears a lot of dark colors on the show — this is because it's the fall season and Grandview is on the east coast. (Wed. And Thursday of this past week, we had lots of rain and fog in LA -- you'll see that reflected in the clothes of EP. 510) Additionally, the color sensibility of Melinda's wardrobe is connected to the spirit world—her clothes track where she is emotionally in the story as she helps earthbound spirits with their unfinished business. As we progress to the crossover scene, Melinda is dressed in lighter colors, which is a quiet nod to the resolution of the ghost story. Under the leadership of our costume designer, Dorothy Amos, the very talented Ghost Whisperer seamstresses and costumers work on the stars' wardrobes and help execute Dorothy's vision to turn our guest actors into ghosts. Each spirit, of course, has his/her own unique look. For Halloween, Dorothy is going to share with you her tricks of the trade in creating groovy ghost looks. But until then, if you'd like details about the fashions of our main characters ask our friends at SeenOn.com -- they have the scoop! On the heels of the great success of IDW Publishing and CBS Consumer Product's Ghost Whisperer graphic novels and comics —Jennifer Love Hewitt is launching her own comic book line entitled, "Jennifer Love Hewitt's Music Box." For details and a peak at the cover art, click here. The 10-issue horror anthology launches on October 28th with a 7 p.m. book signing at Meltdown Comics (7522 W. Sunset Blvd) in Los Angeles. Drop by to say 'hello' and get a copy signed! Also, congratulations to our Ghost Whisperer Director of Photography Jim Chressanthis -- the documentary that he produced and directed, No Subtitles Necessary: Laszlo and Vilmos, has won "Best Documentary Feature" in the New Orleans Film Festival! You go Jim! Test out your Ghost Whisperer knowledge by playing this all-new interactive game! Dive into Melinda's "Haunted Jewelry Box". If you are successful, you'll earn a "haunting" surprise. To see Mary Ann's response, click here and to send your own questions to Mary Ann, please email her at GhostWhispererTV@gmail.com. Mary Ann Winkowski will be featured in a CBS Interactive webisode series, "The Spirit of Friday Night" which will premiere Oct. 30 on cbs.com. Also, Mary Ann's new novel "The Book of Illumination: A novel from the Ghost Files" is now available in stores. Check out her web site for book signing tour dates. Tonight's episode is titled, "Do Over." When Jim (David Conrad) brings home an antique surgical clamp from the hospital, he brings home more than he bargained for. Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Aiden (Connor Gibbs) are both visited by a ghost surgeon who is reliving a failed surgery, and tormenting everyone around him with his guilt. Making matters more complicated, a ghost is terrorizing the hospital morgue, and there may be a connection between the two. Meanwhile, Delia (Camryn Manheim) contends with a mysterious secret admirer, whose identity shocks her in the end. "Do Over" was written and directed by Ghost Whisperer Creator John Gray. This episode guest stars: Bryan Batt as Maitre D'(Mad Men), Mike Farrell as Bill Jett (M.A.S.H, Desperate Housewives) Christine Estabrook as Evelyn James (Law & Order, Desperate Housewives) and David Barry Gray as Roger (Touched By An Angel, Medium). Musically, this episode features "All I Want" by Fountainheads (DaWorks Records), "Chances" by Five for Fighting (Aware/Columbia), "Holding Onto You" by Olivia Broadfield (Vagrant Records), "Ooh Wee" by Sharon Little (CBS Records) and independent artist Jason Diaz's song "Lies For Truth." Coming Up: Ian and P.K. are putting the finishing touches on episode 506 "Cause For Alarm" that Ian just directed which will air next Friday. They shot in lots of great locations (including a gorgeous home in Malibu) and created a 'panic room' which is central to the story. Chad Lowe is the guest star (24, Melrose Place). Not only is Chad talented, but he's a dream to work with. "Cause For Alarm" is a great mystery—make sure you tune in. Kim is back in the Ghost Whisperer offices at Universal Studios now — she's been out with the cast and crew directing, the fabulous script was written by P.K. It has lots of action and excitement and key information on how the spirit world is reacting to Melinda and Jim's son, Aiden. You won't want to miss this one — Episode 509 "Lost In The Shadows" is scheduled to broadcast Nov. 20. Both of us have recently directed for the show, and we are invigorated by how wonderful the writers, cast and the crew of Ghost Whisperer are to work with. We've been on this journey for five years and every year it gets better and better. We're so grateful to CBS and ABC Studios for being so supportive of the show. And then there's you — the amazingly loyal fans — we know how lucky we are that you follow the show from week to week and buzz about it online and check out all the ancillaries on the various platforms. You're the best! Enjoy the show and afterward, please post a comment to let us know your thoughts. Best, Kim and Ian |
