| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Let's talk about the episode last night. I personally like it even if i felt it a litlle rushed and hated that they don't show even a kiss or a hug between Mel and Jim. Some people didn't like to see a more feisty Melinda, they want back the sweet and kind Melinda but i think it was natural to see her like that when your child is threatened. You can't be gentle when your gifted son is in danger(by the way love the kid,is very cute). So,let's hope next episode the ghost won't be related to her son so she can be less agressive. I have to say i miss the store, they only show one scene with her and Delia there.I understand that she was worried about her son but still....there were some things that changed too much i would say. After what Melinda and Jim got through last season i was hoping for a more profound relationship between them.I don't think we will see Jim saving her anymore(hope not!!!),or visiting her at her store,or having lunch in the park....I know it's a new life for them but i can't help wondering if these things will come back...Maybe next episode will show us more of Melinda and Jim's relationship. What i did like is that they do have chemistry as parents, they are very naturals and loving with Aidan! What about you?How do yu feel about the episode? |

The ghost of the week plot was very poorly/sloppily written and depended on the whole "woman = good (if mistaken), men = bad". Again the female ghost did bad things because she was "wronged" by a bad man !?!?!?! ![]() JLH's direction was poor and included a number of correctable errors, e.g. 4 adults (Mel, Jim, a woman and her husband) have to go in 2 different directions to look for their children. Mel goes in one direction and the other 3 go in the other. When Mel finds the children the other woman is right behind her ?!?!?! ![]() |

that's a very good idea! What i wanted to say was that i miss the relationship between Jim and Mel.They are excelent as parents but they didn't hace intimacy as couple, they were only talking all the time,no kiss no hug.I hope Jamie is not responsable of that! I hope next episode things will change! Last edited by Lore; 09-26-2009 at 03:22 PM.. | |

I think the fact that Melinda and Jim aren't all lovey dovey, touchy feely, kissy kissy is pretty realistic. They have been married for nine years, they have a kid and Jim spends most of his time at the hospital. They are tired. That said,it is very clear that they are a loving, and in love, family. I think I read that the hospital is going to be the main set this year so Melinda will be visiting Jim at his work,a lot, this season. I love the kid. He seems to be a real actor and it looks like he can carry his weight on the show.(I wonder who his first crush is going to be?) I'm very excited because season 5 is off to a great start and...out girl is a director! How cool is she?! |

They're bound to keep the formula but now they'll be able to move the formula around a little more. The whole scene of Melinda getting edgy with Jim as they talk about the birth and Jim's vehicle was perfectly written. To me it shows the close love the two still have. I couldn't believe my ears when they threw in Kate Bush's "This Woman's Work" as they wheeled Melinda in for the birth. They used the exact same song during one very pivotal episode of Party of Five when Sarah was badly injured. I wonder if that was a song selection made by Simonds? Only diehard fans of JLH would even know that one. Last edited by i love love; 09-28-2009 at 04:55 AM.. |

One of the best episodes I have seen in a long time. The five year time travel was quick and made sense. As Jeff said with Dims job and their marriage now for 9 years they seem to be much more of a normal family with not so much lovey dovey feeling to all the time they are together. Aiden was just amazing I thought he did a great job as Melinda's son I know if I was him and getting to hug Melinda I would screw up every line and just look horrible. It is great though they gave him some powers I did not expect so it should be cool to see how he can use them. |

Even if he has it at Pickwicks. I know I would be doing that ![]() |
