Yes it is true Jim is now a ghost but he wont let go. His partner shot him and he had a complication. Poor Melinda

OMG.. that is horrible.. I just finished watching it and started crying... Here's hoping that he is not dead but in a coma... JLH says in an article nothing is cut and dry.. In prior episode Jim says he will take the machines as long as she is alive.. Maybe that is why he won't cross over because he believes there is a chance he can come back... Who knows.. I can't believe they did this and I am not sure how I feel about the show right now.

A policeman shot Jim accidentally. Jim was a medic so it can't have been his "partner".

It was the man who helped Melinda find information on her father last season.. He was a cop/private investigator friend of Jim's..

This episode was depressing... I sat at the edge of my seat all night.. That kid Owen was so touching when he said he didn't want anyone else to get hurt especially not you to Melinda. It was a very good episode until Jim died... That's when it turned bad for me... But I will give it next weeks episode to make up my mind on continuing to watch the show. I am so hoping they brought him back and that he is in a coma...

dang!! that's sooo not kosher...literally...not kosher...I mean I was hopin that this season would pick up but not liek this...

So does this mean he will now be one of those white light spirits or what?

And is anyone else wondering what happened to all the loose ends from the earlier seasons like the laughing man? Gabriel? Her father? Her mother? that one shadow ghost...did the writers just forget about those or what?

But bummer about Jim...if anything they should have given the ax to Delia I just have never liked her character or Eli...he bugs me as well.

I agree... They have only answered some questions about Melinda but they have left a lot of loose ends. I mean that brimmed hat man didn't just quit and How is she linked to Gabriel? More importantly the underground city is still an issue I think. Them spirits are still there and I am sure they didn't just stop either...
