Competition for GW in February 2009

Fox TV has announced it's new Friday evening lineup.

"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (T:SCC), which recently earned a full Season 2 order, will target Fridays at 8 pm, starting (eek) Friday the 13th.

There, it will set the table for Joss Whedon’s much-anticipated and Eliza Dushku-fronted Dollhouse, airing at 9 pm."

T:SCC might not have the same target audience as GW but it IS a scripted show which will be more competition than all the reality/game shows that are on at 8 pm Friday nights.

Interesting since Sarah Conner has been threatened with cancellation for weeks, the ratings fluctuating. On the other hand moving it over to Friday may give it a bit of a breather with less programming to compete with. This will be interesting to see what happens, Sarah Connor is a cult fav with fans and may be quite the competition if it's able to hang in there. They even released season one of Sarah Connor on blu-ray, something that CBS STILL hasn't done with any season of Ghost Whisperer.

I watch both shows and I tape both shows, I don't know which one I'll choose come February. It all depends on what they do with Jim. GW might have lost me as a viewer if they don't fix this.

I agree Maracev... Me too... I will watch the next few episodes to see how this plays out. I love this show and look forward to watching it on Fridays.. But there is a new show coming I am interested in called Dollhouse.

I know where you're comming from!

But I don't want the other shows to fail! It'd be great for GW to have another female led show up against it. I think it's great to see in todays tv that this can happen. And having this competiton will help improve both shows, making them better than they are now. One hopes and crosses his fingers.
