Why Jennifer Love Hewitt didn't star in "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer"?

for a while there i thought someone was going to actually try and answer why jennifer wasn't in that movie. although judging by how bad it was i can guess why jennifer didn't star in it.

i saw the movie out of curiosity. they went and turned the fisherman into a supernatural boogeyman. some kids play a prank on another kid and it turns deadly. suddenly the fisherman comes out and gets revenge. why? i really don't remember, couldn't really pay attention. although there was a scene i saw that made me laugh. there's this bulldozer that comes to life under the control of the fisherman and no one is supposed to be driving it. but theres one quick scene where you can clearly see a guy driving it. meanwhile the actors in the movie are supposed to be reacting to it as if no one is there behind the wheel. bad movie, don't watch it. i think it was also implied that the characters from the previous movies all died by the hands of ben willis, i can't remember.

oh and i just checked and there is going to be a fourth movie.

no jennifer was not in the third movie and she won't be in the 4th one either. by the sounds of something said in the third movie she and everyone else from those first two movies are all dead.

It wasn't the best of movies.....

I'm not really sure what Love's movie plans are at the moment filming Ghost Whisperer keeps her really busy....

I did read one article that Love wanted to make a 3rd movie but it would end with Julie and Ben Willis both dying after one final fight.

I'm glad the didn't do it, it took me months to get over her dying in If Only even when she came back.

totally agree, bad news. But i like to think that she didnt die at the end of the 2nd one and it was just another bad dream because when she walks up the stairs she says 'i nearly fell asleep back there' or something to that effect. Hey im an optomist i guess.

Hewitt stated that she wouldn't do another years ago. Just because she died means nothing in this genre. From Jason to Freddy, they can make any character or soul of a character return in any way they please. Luckily Love opted out of this one.

Stories about that movie have been going around for ages, she will only really have time to make a movie during breaks between season's of Ghost Whisperer.

To add further to the Summer third film, Muse Watson wasn't asked back as the fisherman. So it's a completley different film, just using a familiar title.

i remember an interview where love said she would be be in every IKWYDLS sequel till she was old and had grandchildren. i believe she was just joking around.
