| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't see anything wrong with what the papparazzi did in taking pictures of JLH at the beach and I'm sure that JLH didn't either because it is part of being a celebrity. However being rude and insulting towards JLH is WRONG .Though she may say that it doesn't bother her, it does. She is only human and she has feelings. I think that she is deeply hurt by those comments and that's probably the reason that after it happened ,she never appeared again in a bikini and always had a big towel wrapped around her. Oh well she will feel better after she deposits her next big fat PAYCHECK from Ghost Whisperer in the bank and will have the last laugh on this matter. I hope this isn't a double post. I don't think the first one got through so that's why I posted this again. Last edited by Peter : 12-04-2007 at 05:12 PM. |

| Cannot live without Love ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Love suffered bullying at school when she was just eleven. Since that moment, She learned that there are a lot of "Nelsons" willing to make fun of everyone that is clearly superior to them. It's part of the human condition. They make so much noise, but are very few. ![]() |

| Member Newbie | I donīt see anything wrong about taking photos from celebs or stars either. First comes first: The baseline starts from anybody has the personal right to decide his picture is taken and published. At the same time the freedom of the press requiers that the press is allowed to have their say so the public gets informed. Also there is the freedom of speech. Now, when at least two fundamental rights collide where can a tresspass line be drawn? There are many countries in the world and each of them ansewers in a different way. I am not even aware of 1/10th of them but there is one universal thought I think most likely can be found in any system: If a celeb/star appears in the public the press takes a justified chance to shorten the stars personal rights by reporting to the public no matter in word or picture. However, if a celeb/star remains in private, then -like for any other average person- not even the press shall tresspass the already shortened space. For this, it is of no matter how much wealth a person has but more likely how much freedom he/she is granted. Since you seem to refer to the Hawaii photos, Peter, it depends imho the beach has been a public beach or a private one. I for my part did assume that it was a private beach hence I donīt see any justification for the press to take any photo there. I also didnīt read anywhere Ms. Hewitt invited anyone to her private vacation stay. Just my two cents. |
