| Member Newbie | Hey I think that she is still a great actress and extremely nice person and incredibly hot but the bottom line is 2 fold... 1. She is no longer a size 2...not that there is anything wrong with that fact but if you are asking any one to believe that you are not concerned about being a size 0 then tell your real size…honesty is the best policy. ***Please read this entire next 2 paragraphs***then make a comment 2. If you are a celeb this comes with the territory...don't want the celebrity then become one of us regular Joe's...I am sure she would make as much money working at a retail outlet, or as a secretary or work in my field of IT... ...NOT... She makes millions of dollars and people are interested in that...she justifiably wants the riches and fame...her (and other celebs) are not creating art...they are creating entertainment...which generates the entertainment of looking into their lives (hence this web site)…this entertainment of publicity and notoriety makes and breaks celebs…to any sane person if the market exists to make $10 Million (Pitt, Jolie, et al.) a movie then there is a market to make $1 Million of photos of that person during that movies run (if successful)…this is capitalism….Jen fills this need as a accomplished actress who fills many hearts with joy and the paparazzi fills the publics desire to know more about her…we create the star…we invade the star…and in some cases we destroy the star! (We = the Consumer) Solution: Either we, the consumers, need to de-emphasize the magazines that publish these photos OR the celebs need to shut up...people want to see these photos because the marketing of celebs tells us so…we need to change that…we need to tell the paparazzi that we don’t need to see them and more importantly won’t pay for them…nobody buys Us or People or Star for the awe inspiring literature…they buy it for the “juice”…if we don’t buy these mags then these leeches of society (paparazzi) don’t get paid…they (paparazzi) don’t get paid they get to become secretaries, and IT geeks and sales folks… This problem of trashing our heroes is part of a vicious circle that we the consumer are generating…One more quick example…Ever wonder why the 1950’s and 1960’s stars weren’t hounded like today’s stars? There was not a paparazzi back then like today and more importantly there were not consumers who supported these leeches…Folks back then understood that Frank Sinatra had a private life and did not want to see pics of him passed out at the bar of the Sands Casino…we wanted our hero…we wanted the dream…a serious change to a simpler more honest time is needed…not a more restrictive more reclusive lifestyle that our heroes must live…Celebs can’t lock themselves away to create a separation from the rest of us common folk/fans and the paparazzi needs to back off… Sorry Jen that your vacation was ruined…may you have a blessed marriage… |

| Cannot live without Love ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 1. I don't know my size (especially in terms of american sizing). I'm 178 cm tall (5' 10'') and weigh 82 kg (180 pounds). What does got to do with attacking somebody because of his/her appearance, or defending his/her against the people who is attacking his/her? 2. "She justifiably wants the riches and fame" Why are you so sure? Have you asked Her? On the contrary, I guess She just wants to do what She loves since being a kid: entertaining. Come on, She has enough money to retire just now and live very decently the rest of Her life. Why working 16 hours a day? To earn even more money? There may be many people who could done that, but not Jennifer Love Hewitt. And fame has its drawbacks too. Don't overstimate it. Totallly agree with your remaining ideas. ![]() |

| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sorry Sarah, I was using Trotters "Love is as beautiful on inside as on the outside" statement as a poetic simile for the previous post hence argument that is going on about celebrit/paperrazi/fan relations, regrading celeb rights, free press and consumerism. I forget you guys aren't American, There was popular beer commercial years ago for Bud Light, where groups of guys would argue they like it because it, "Tastes great" or "Less Filling" and they'd go back and forth they did a whole series with some famous people really funny http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...t+less+filling Also back in the 80's, four Los Angeles cops were videotaped beating an African American "Rodney King" for resisiting arrest. At thier trial they were aquitted which set off days of riots in parts of LA. In an effort to calm things down Rodney King went in TV with the Mayor and Police and said the now parodied "Can't we all just get along" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodney_King sorry you did ask.. Clear as mud? W |
