Thanks for clarifying, Old Man.

GW (on CBS) gets a poor "Rating" (5.6) but a pretty average "Share" of 10. These numbers are low for a "Winning" show purely because they are on a FRIDAY.

Yeah, yeah, I know that was directed at me. I've heard that argument "It's on a Friday" ever since this show started. However, to me, that shouldn't matter. A quality show should attract viewers whenever it is on. This forms the basis for my argument that GW isn't quite as quality as it could be, although I will admit they are taking steps in the right direction, especially with this season's plot.
Tonight's episode will probably be pivotal in terms of its relevant, real-world content (featuring real Iraq War veterans). If it attracts over 12 million viewers, or at least a 12-15 share, I'll know that Ghost Whisperer is on the right track. Yes, I'm setting the bar high, but I know the show's capable of so much more.
If I have neglected anything, I suppose, it is that the basis of the show, the existence of a person who communicates messages from the dead, has a real-life driving force in James van Praagh and all the other mediums and psychics that are out there. That is why they can't radicalize the plot, say, to make Jennifer Love Hewitt have her own powers...

For comparison, "CSI" on Thursday at 9.00 pm got a Rating/Share of 12.3/19 .... numbers everyone on GW would give their right arms for. |
You got that right.
